Biography

Jason Patel is a breakthrough artist from Manchester. Patel's artistry became prominent noting singles One Last Dance, 6iX, and Choclafied. Gracing the digital cover of Attitude Magazine, his artistry has been featured in Wonderland, Brown Girl Magazine, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter and more gaining him attention by BBC naming him Artist of the Week by Introducing, and BBC Asian Network landing him a nomination for Best Music Video at The Youth Music Awards. Jason regularly performs his music in London and has performed at London and Manchester Pride. In 2023 Pink News named Patel as one of the trailblazing artist of 2023 and 2024 Screen International selected him as a Screen Star of Tomorrow.

His music and acting skills intertwined together in his silver screen debut costarring alongside Ben Hardy (Bohemian Rhapsody) in 'Unicorns' written and directed by Sally El-Hosaini and James Krishna Floyd. The premier of the film at TIFF23 & BFI London Film Festival placed Patel on several best performers lists. Unicorns features released track One Last Dance, and a live performance of Somewhere Special off his his new EP 'Delicious'

Unicorns showcased at Palm Springs Film Festival, Sweden's Gotenburg Film Festival, Dinard British & Irish Film Festival , Manchester Film Festival and BFI Flare Festival and had its UK & Ireland theatrical release on July 5th 2024.

Since Unicorns, Patel released his first musical body of work EP 'Delicious' in summer 2024 which music also features in Unicorns. He is set to appear in the BBC series 'Virdee' directed by Mark Tonderai and Milad Alami, written by Amit Dhand, produced by Stella Nwimo and composed by Hans Zimmer releasing in 2025.
