Yet, some TV couples take certain tropes too far and transform their relationship into something unsustainable. Thus, certain writers are criticized for their depiction of a healthy relationship as they tend to make certain audiences feel inadequate. 8 Best TV Couples That Were Better Than The Show They Were In
Image
Chemistry between actors is crucial for TV couples to be well-received and elevate the show's quality. Some TV couples, like Anthony & Kate in Bridgerton, become the best part of the series with their well-paced love story. On the flip side, the worst TV couples involve inappropriate relationships or forced drama, bringing down the show's overall quality.

Certain couples on TV shows are obviously meant to be, and when they get together, their relationship becomes the best part of the series. While most series incorporate some kind of romantic entanglement, there are certain genres and show types that elevate the romances above all other plotlines. Sometimes, this can be to the detriment of the show's overall quality, but it also means that the love stories are all the more well-paced and satisfying. However, one of the deciding factors of how well-received a couple will be is the chemistry between the actors.

Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2 Review: C + P Is The Perfect Formula For The Best Season Yet
Image
Colin & Penelope's love story ends perfectly, with Penelope taking the lead. Some supporting characters get engaging subplots, adding depth to the season. Exciting setup for the future of Bridgerton, teasing multiple seeded stories ahead.

For a TV show so deeply rooted in genre conventions, Bridgerton does contradiction and creative difference remarkably well. Each of the romances in the three seasons so far has been distinct and yet familiar to fans of romantic literature, and the modern spins on Regency romance keep things impressively fresh. Yes, there are tropes, but Bridgerton has a progressive beating heart that isn't settled because of the show's convention-challenging portraits of race.

Then again, there is a convention to Bridgerton that feels immediately comfortable and comforting, and the biggest question, in a different way perhaps than expected from season 3, is "what next?" This time, it's not just a matter of picking which of the Bridgerton...

‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 Part 2 Is the Most Fascinating Chapter of the Franchise Yet: TV Review
Image
“Bridgerton” Season 3 is no fairytale. Instead, the second half of the season, arguably some of the most vital chapters in the franchise, is about taking up space and having the courage to face the consequences of your actions. As Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) transition from friends to lovers, the pair realize if their union is going to work, they must foster an environment of openness and honesty, even if it requires standing in opposition to societal expectations.

Part 2 of Season 3 might not be the fantasy viewers expected, but it does allow us to indulge in the romance for a bit. Episode 5, in the perhaps winkingly named “Tick Tock,” opens with Penelope writing as Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews). Still exhilarated from her enchanted evening with Colin following their steamy carriage ride and his impromptu proposal, Pen wants to linger in this new exquisite era of her life.

“I’m going to have to do some serious whoring,” she exclaims in the trailer for the show, which premieres Jan. 25.
