2025 is going to see massive scheduling changes to beloved animated sitcoms The Simpsons and Family Guy.

The new year has arrived, and so have some major changes to Fox’s Animation Domination programming block. Per Comicbook.com, Family Guy will take over The Simpsons’ time slot when the series’ 23rd season premieres this February. The swap was revealed in a Jerry O’Connell preview.

Hulu has revealed a first look at the Family Guy holiday special, which is titled “Gift of the White Guy” and premieres on Monday, November 25.

“Gift of the White Guy” is the second Hulu exclusive Family Guy special. The first special for Halloween, “Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Cheater,” is now streaming on Hulu.

In the Family Guy holiday special, Peter must recover Lois’s Christmas brooch after gifting it away in a White Elephant exchange. Stewie also changes his attitude upon learning he’s on Santa’s “Naughty List.”

The “Family Guy” Christmas special at Hulu has set its official premiere date.

The special, titled “Gift of the White Guy,” will premiere on Hulu on Nov. 25. This marks the second of two Hulu exclusive “Family Guy” specials, with the first being the Oct. 14 Halloween special “Peter, Peter Pumpkin Cheater.”

The Griffins try to find that Christmas spirit in new images from Family Guy's upcoming holiday special. The long-running adult animated comedy recently debuted season 23 with a Halloween special. Even though the series' future is not confirmed after Family Guy season 23 with an official renewal, creator Seth MacFarlane has confirmed that the Griffins could continue for years to come. That would mean many more Family Guy holiday specials, including a new Christmas-centric story that will debut this year. It comes after the Halloween Special Peter, Peter Pumpkin Cheater which premiered on Monday, October 14.

The Canadian drama, which airs on The CW in the U.S., centers on attorney Joanna Hanley (Kristin Kreuk), who walked away from her partnership at a corporate law firm in order to figure out why a mysterious illness is afflicting high school girls from her hometown. It can be rough being part one of a two (or more!) part story.

It's easy to get relegated to set-up, with all the excitement reserved for the back half of the story. NCIS Season 14 Episode 15 didn't exactly escape that, unfortunately.

To be fair, it's a bit more complicated than that; there was a more-or-less self-contained plot for "Pandora's Box, Part I" in the less-than-fake terrorist attack that was an attempted assassination.

The connection to the follow-on portion on NCIS: New Orleans, however, depended on the rather impressively coincidental timing of a hack that resulted in the loss of Homeland Security's terrorist response playbook.

After all, Mr. Vengeance-Murder Homeland Security Aide didn't hack the playbook.

I could complain about the fact that Alex Carter's Homeland Security boss was so stupid and careless to make such a thing vulnerable in the manner he did, but that part was sadly believable.

A Generation’s Final Journey nearly killed the franchise. But did it deserve to bomb?

The first Nemesis disc I owned inexplicably didn’t work properly in my first DVD player, and eventually stopped working entirely. When rewatching the film for this article, I found that the Blu-ray I have is bent for no reason at all and won’t work in any player. I tried downloading it off Sky, but it stopped downloading halfway through and refused to download any more until I deleted the whole thing and tried again after rebooting the box. I tried Netflix but weirdly Star Trek: Nemesis is part of a different rights package to the other Next Gen movies. Star Trek: Insurrection was the great hope for the franchise. The lessons learned from past failures. No more interference from the studio. Just put the right people in the right place and let them do their thing. It worked for Khan, it worked for First Contact, so it should work for Insurrection. Right?

Cuffs star Eleanor Matsuura thinks it is a shame BBC One cancelled the police drama after one series (season). She and co-stars Amanda Abbington, Alex Carter, Jacob Ifan, and Pete Sullivan took to Twitter to express their sorrow over the cancellation, in mid-December.

More than a month later, Matsuura is still disappointed by the "premature" decision to cancel the Cuffs TV series, which also starred Ashely Walters and Broadchurch's Shaun Dooley.

Reality takes a holiday along with the Star Wars cast. But is the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special that bad?

You know what go well together? Pop sci-fi, variety shows and Christmas.

Wait, no they don’t, that’s a terrible idea. The Christmas variety show is fine, but attaching a famously secular fantasy to it? Really? Still, this was the late 70s, where variety shows were the king of Christmas telly, and Star Wars was the king of everything else. So obviously some genius decided to put the two things together. The result? Something so bad that it was never shown again. Carrie Fisher reportedly uses it to get people to leave her house. George Lucas actually threatened to go on a rampage with a sledgehammer. Words have not been invented to describe how bad it is.

BBC One has cancelled freshman crime drama, Cuffs, after one series (season). The Cuffs cancellation news broke late last week, and has been tweeted about by cast members, including Amanda Abbington, Eleanor Matsuura, Alex Carter, Jacob Ifan, and Peter Sullivan.

Fans are not ready to be uncuffed, at least not without a fight. A Change.Org petition to recommission (renew) Cuffs currently has 6,556 signatures. On Twitter, the Cuffs renewal charge is led by the We Love Cuffs account. Bearing the display name #Bringbackcuffs, the account's profile picture is a BBC logo, modified to read "Bring Back Cuffs." Cheeky.

BBC One's Cuffs is a pre-watershed cop show that blends police procedure with the officers' personal lives - sound familiar?

But despite the apparent similarities, the Cuffs cast have insisted that their show is nothing like ITV's long-running The Bill, which wrapped a 26-year run in 2010.

My introduction to the Highlander franchise came not through the original film, or the sequel, or the surprisingly alright TV series. It instead came from a promo video for Highlander IV: The Final Dimension, the music video of my favourite ever piece of music, James’ Honest Joe.

This is remarkable for several reasons. Firstly, this “song” (if it can be called that) was never a single, and is obscure enough to render a music video superfluous at best. Secondly, the song does not feature in the film (despite being in the credits, I’ve yet to see a version that actually includes it). Finally, at the time there was no Highlander IV, it was, in fact, Highlander III. Yes, this is a film so...

Christopher Lambert didn't like it. Director Russell Mulcahy doesn't like it. Audiences didn't like it. But is Highlander II that bad?

The Highlander franchise has always had one, and forgive the tautology, enormous elephant in the room, and that elephant is the first film, which was the end point of the story. The series has always been about immortals, and their battles to “be only one” (as the tagline reminds you incessantly). Indeed, by the end of the film there is only one. Or to be more exact, there aren’t any at all, as it turns out the prize is mortality (and magic mind powers or something). Thus ends the story. No more immortals.

The 80s really wasn’t the time of the movie franchise, especially with a decidedly quirky fantasy film like Highlander, so really there was no need for a sequel. Highlander was never going to sell toys,...

My first memory is of my dad getting into a fight with Noel Edmonds on the set of Telly Addicts. He had gotten so bored with the endless trivia that he fell asleep during one question, and woke up during another, and ran onto the stage to complain that David Jason wasn’t The Fugitive. If he found a colourful 80s gameshow boring, good lord knows what he makes of random guesstheboxathon Deal Or No Deal. He would probably implode into a coma.

But is it really just a game of chance? Unfortunately, try as you might, you can never get away from that agonising itch that it’s all just a completely random number guessing game. Albeit one with a delusional man who has phone conversations with a non-existent financial warlord, and 4000 gallons of tears.

There will be a daytime and primetime edition of the Channel 4 reality show airing over the Christmas period.

Show bosses have confirmed that Alex Carter is to bow out from the teen drama after nearly a year back on screen as Lee Hunter, while Dean Aspen and Ashley Margolis have also chosen to depart their roles as double act Duncan Button and Ricky Campbell. After spending a decade in soapland while starring in Hollyoaks and Emmerdale, 28-year-old Carter is now hoping to pursue other opportunities. Nick (George Eads) and Ray (Laurence Fishburne) talk of Ray's impending court hearing with Nate Haskell (Bill Irwin) . Nick needs to get to the gym or he'll never go. Ray: "Are you felling obligated to leave Doc Robbins (Robert David Hall) a good-looking corpse." To which Nick replies, "Yeah, something like that." Hey his hair's grown back, now any chance of George leaving it like that! Anyway, prophetic words from Ray regarding Nick, as he almost does meet his doom. Ray tells him he's putting on his game face for the trial. Nick retorts he should give Haskell hell, but he's bound for there anyway. Ray and Haskell prepare for court simultaneously and you know from Haskell's smirk he's got something up his sleeve, literally. Greg (Eric Szmanda) along with Hodges (Wallace Langham) and Mandy (Sheeri Rappaport) look at a photo of a girl on the web whom Greg states is a Db. saying: "She is not merely dead, she is most sincerely dead." (from The Wizard of Oz..) Nick (George Eads) asks if they're having a slow night and disagrees with Greg telling him everything on the website isn't real. Hodges explains he was trying to tell the others that. Nick proceeds to examine the photo and remarks on her blood vessels in her arm being distended meaning she has high blood pressure. Greg thinks the blood pooled in dexterity and lividity, i.e that she's dead. Hodges comments it's hard to tell without a body. Nick believes it's a waste of time and so he and Greg bet each other $100 on whether she's alive or not; which Nick doesn't even think Greg has.

Some women on a night out in pursuit of a men come across a Db. Ray (Laurence Fishburne) smells alcohol, thinking he could have fallen off the balcony. David (David Berman) notices the back of his skull has been obliterated. Ray surmises his injuries could have occurred by falling from any floor. Nick (George Eads) questions the two women witnesses and one thinks he's staring at her cleavage. Our Nicky, no way! In actual fact he spots some brain matter in her cleavage. "...little piece of brain." Any old excuse. Ha. The other one can't help flirting with him, she does that when she's nervous and also comments she was looking for a nice man with a badge. Which Nick takes all in his stride. Catherine (Marg Helgenberger) identifies the Vic as Brad Malone (Brian D Johnson). Det Vartann (Alex Carter) notices her hugging the man. "CSI" ended on a little bit of a cliffhanger Thursday (Feb. 17) -- but not one involving Justin Bieber's character.

Bieber's character, Jason McCann, tried to take revenge against Nick (George Eads), Catherine (Marg Helgenberger) and Detective Vartann (Alex Carter) for the death of his brother in the show's season premiere. He and an accomplice set an elaborate trap that claimed one victim -- although not the one they wanted -- but Jason made a fatal mistake: He used his own cell phone to call Nick and lure him into the web.

Clearly, Jason never watched "The Wire."

Jason's story closed with him and his ex-soldier accomplice getting caught trying to flee to California. Jason was so bent on revenge, though, that he tried to shoot his way through a roadblock of about 20 cops. Not good -- he takes several shots in the chest, and that's the...

Ray (Laurence Fishburne) is rushed to hospital after being stabbed by Haskell (Bill Irwin) and whilst there he hallucinates him escaping his handcuffs and being attacked by him. He comes out of it when he hears Nick (George Eads) saying he'll be okay. Glad Jorga came back, she was missed! Catherine (Marg Helgenberger) worries about her team, which some may call being too emotional for a woman! But she's got the right balance between knowing when to show emotion and when to be heavy-handed. At the funeral of Officer Clark (Reggie Vaughn Watkins), Nick is asked to leave by Brass (Paul Guilfoyle). "Sometimes the best thing to do is to just walk away." Understanding Officer Clark's family's grief, but that was a harsh thing to do, it's not his fault he died in the line of duty and Nick wasn't the one who pulled the trigger. Nick is clearly hurt...

Hollyoaks is to launch an online spinoff series featuring three new characters, it has been announced. Students Jamil (Sakinder Malik), Doug (Pj Brennan) and Leanne (Jessica Forrest) will be introduced to fans of the soap in Hollyoaks: Freshers, a six-part run of 10-minute episodes which is to start airing on the internet next month.
