(August 10, 2010) Married her boyfriend of 2 years Rafe Spall. They met each other through friends on February 1, 2008 in a bar in London.

Is fluent in Afrikaans.

Her family emigrated from South Africa when she was 14 years old.

She was a student at Edinburgh University, where she was studying history, when she attended an open audition for the soap opera Hollyoaks (1995). She beat out 40,000 hopefuls for the role of Izzy Davies. She left the show in 2004 after four years of filming.

Attended Edinburgh University.

Named after her grandmother.

Daughter-in-law of Timothy Spall & Shane Spall.

Gave birth to her 2nd child at age 32, a son Rex Spall in November 2012. Child's father is her husband, Rafe Spall.

She is the second of four children to an artist mother and an orthodontist father.

In December 1994 her family moved to Berkshire, England, where she completed her A-levels, attaining straight A's in English, French, history, and history of art.
