- Amber Steigelfest is a Los Angeles based actress, writer, director, and producer whose purpose in life is to spread laughter, joy, and inspire contemplative and productive thinking anywhere she goes. Originally from Nashville, Tennesee, Amber comes from a rich theatre background, making her stage debut as young Estella in "Great Expectations". She has since built a versatile career in both film and television, most recently starring in the indie feature "F*cking Hilarious". Amber also recently premiered onstage at Playhouse West as Corky in "Meteor Shower" and the titular character in "Cancel Queen". With a strong theatre and sketch comedy background, including Shakespeare, she brings a diverse skill set to all her projects.
Amber attended Chapman University's prestigious film school, earning a BFA in Screen Acting. In addition to her film and stage work, Amber is a rising stand-up comedian, bringing her sharp, witty perspective to venues like The Ice House and The Comedy Store, where she continues to grow her craft and engage with new audiences.
Amber's drive to create meaningful, female forward work led her to become a producer and director of high impact and female led projects. With an unrelenting work ethic, she produced and directed two micro-budget features and two web series before the age of 21, all of which challenge industry norms and elevate underrepresented voices. Her most recent short, "Cultivate", was selected for the prestigious Mammoth Film Festival. An award winning writer, Amber is redefining genre storytelling with her darkly comedic horror scripts, which have been recognized at multiple film festivals and earned her top honors at the Austin Comedy Film Festival.
