Vladimír Neff was born on 13 June 1909 in Prague, Austria-Hungary [now Czech Republic]. He was a writer, known for Gabriela (1942), Tajemství krve (1953) and Trináctá komnata (1969). He died on 2 July 1983 in Prague, Czechoslovakia.
