See Patrick Rea's The Hourglass Figure Short Film in its Entirety
It was back in October 2012 when we first heard about The Hourglass Figure, but now that it's wrapping up a successful festival run, the short's director, Patrick Rea, has given us the okay to share the whole film with Dread Central's readers.

The Hourglass Figure, from SenoReality Pictures, premiered at last year's Shriekfest and is next heading to the Macabre Faire Film Festival as part of Eternal Con, running June 14-15 in Garden City, NY.

It was written by Michelle Davidson and Amber Rapp and stars Davidson and Brian Paulette.

A Behind-the-Scenes Look at SenoReality Pictures' New Short Film The Hourglass Figure
Fresh off its win for Best Horror Feature Film at Shriekfest 2012 for Patrick Rea's Nailbiter, SenoReality Pictures has just wrapped a new short film, The Hourglass Figure, also directed by Rea, who sent over a few behind-the-scenes photos.

The Hourglass Figure was written by Michelle Davidson and Amber Rapp and stars Davidson and Brian Paulette. The short is about a mother who’s overwhelmed with housework and raising children. She finds an hourglass in her attic that gives her an extra hour in her day, but it comes with dangerous consequences.

Rea and Co. have another short, a dark comedy called Split the Check, in post-production and are currently touring Nailbiter at additional film festivals before its spring release from Grindstone Entertainment and Lionsgate Home Entertainment. Next up for Nailbiter is a screening at the New York City Horror Film Festival on November 8th.

Short Film of the Day: World Builder
Why Watch? We often think of filmmaking as world building, but in this short, a man with Apple products from 2028 actually does build a world for a beautiful woman. Where the architects of Inception used their minds, this guy puts in the hard work of digitally painting by hand right down to the last detail. It’s a showcase of visual effects, and the man’s reason for making sure every last flower petal is right is ultimately as sweet as it is heartbreaking. What Will It Cost? Just 9 minutes of your time. Does it get better any better than that? Check out World Builder for yourself: World Builder (2007) Written and Directed By: Bruce Branit Visual Effects By: Bruce Branit Starring: Brian Paulette and Erin McGrane Trust us. You have time for more short films.
