Biography

    • Flavio Ramírez Farfán is a Mexican comedian and actor, remembered because when he tells his jokes he always carries his "notebook", also for the song "Aguas, ahí viene Flavio." He was for a while the official imitation of Mario Moreno "Cantinflas". He began his artistic career at 17 years of age. He was a master of ceremonies at parties and entertained his audience by telling jokes or imitating various personalities of the moment. In 1957, at an event where Flavio was making his usual comedian and impersonator show, maestro Paco Malgesto listened to him and invited him to participate in the radio program "Varieties of Midnight", along with Manuel "El Loco" Valdéz. His success was enormous, both in his career as a comedian and as an imitator. He recounts in an anecdote that when Marco Antonio Muñiz and Alberto Vázquez sometimes passed on the radio to sing and asked Flavio where they were, he replied that they had not arrived on time to the program, so he began to sing his most famous songs with an impressive voice impersonator talent, which made his work more known to the artistic media. His arrival in the world of dubbing was presented when his father, composer of several themes of Germán Valdez's films "Tin Tan", took him to do a dubbing test. Thanks to his great quality and talent for imitation, Flavio ended up staying with the character of King Louie for the movie The Book of the Jungle, which promoted Disney as one of his best contemporary classics. Among his works for Disney are King Louie of The Jungle Book, Winnie Pooh in Winnie Pooh and the blustery day and Winnie Pooh and the honey tree. He also gave life to Scat Cat in The Aristocats and Little John in Robin Hood.
