Meredith Hama-Brown’s feature debut “Seagrass,” starring Ally Maki, will debut in U.S. theaters on Feb. 22, beginning with special screenings with the cast and director.

Q&a’s will be held at New York’s Roxy Cinema and Los Angeles’ Laemmle Royal on Feb. 22 and Las Vegas’ Regal Theatre on Feb. 23. Maki will be in Los Angeles, Hama-Brown and cinematographer Norm Li will be in New York, and actor Chris Pang will be in Las Vegas. The film will also have its U.S. festival premiere at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, screening on Feb. 12 and Feb. 13.

Stopping by to promote her newest show, Silverman was eventually asked about the fact that she and Rory Albanese share a toothbrush, with Hostin noting she is “befuddled” by the concept. The comedian stipulated that she had never shared a toothbrush with anyone in the past, but with this man, they have “never not shared a toothbrush.”

Silverman added that Hostin is not the first to ask about the ick factor of it, but then posed a counterargument.

ABC has renamed Good Morning America’s third-hour show, “Strahan & Sara,” to “GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke,” the show’s hosts announced on Monday.

This is the third name change for the show, which first premiered last September as “Gma Day” as a replacement to “The Chew,” which was cancelled last year over sexual misconduct allegations against one of its hosts, Mario Batali, and a number of other problems. In January, “Gma Day” — hosted by Michael Strahan and Sara Haines –was rebranded as “Strahan & Sara.” And now, with this third new name, the actress Keke Palmer joins the hourlong daytime show as a co-host alongside Strahan and Haines.

Palmer had been hosting the show with Strahan over the summer as Haines was out on maternity leave, and the new name officially incorporates her into the show’s branding.

ABC’s not-so-new hour of “Good Morning America” is getting another name – and a third host.

The network said the early-afternoon program called “Strahan & Sara” would now be titled “GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke,” and feature a third host, Keke Palmer, in addition to the original team of Michael Strahan and Sara Haines. The program, initially conceived as a means of extending the network’s flagship “Good Morning America” into other time periods, and bringing affiliates and advertisers along for the ride, has been through several changes since its launch in September of last year.

Palmer, a singer and actress known for her time on Fox’s “Scream Queens,” has been filling in for Haines while she was on maternity leave. ““It’s been a blast having Keke co-host this summer. She brings a unique and spontaneous energy viewers love,” said Rory Albanese, the program’s executive producer, in a statement.

Keke Palmer, a 26-year-old singer and actress, is joining Michael Strahan and Sara Haines as co-host of the third hour of the Good Morning America franchise, which will be renamed GMA3: Strahan, Sara & Keke to incorporate her.

The Scream Queens actress took a spin as co-host of the show this summer when Haines was on maternity leave.

ABC hopes to shed new light on “Gma Day.”

The afternoon extension of the network’s “Good Morning America” is getting a new name and look, according to a person familiar with the matter. Audience members present at Monday morning’s taping of the program will notice a new set and logo that tamp down the emphasis on the show’s links to ABC’s morning flagship and place more significance on hosts Michael Strahan and Sara Haines.

The show has been re-titled “Strahan and Sara,” this person said. ABC News declined to make executives available for comment.

“Daily Show” host Jon Stewart may have figured out his post-retirement plans. The comedian took the stage at the Comedy Cellar in New York’s West Village for an impromptu stand-up set on Wednesday evening. Stewart ditched his traditional talk show suits for a more casual ensemble on his night out with former “Daily Show” executive producer Rory Albanese. Albanese, who now leads operations at “The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore,” posted a picture on Instagram of Stewart during his 10-minute set. Albanese captioned the picture: “The Cellar is where it all began for Jon. This was an awesome moment.

Before he destroyed, eviscerated, and owned Fox News, Jon Stewart was a stand-up comedian. Now, with only days remaining in his Daily Show tenure, Stewart returned to the stage for the first time in a decade, dropping in unannounced at the Comedy Cellar to do a ten-minute set. Intimidatingly enough, he had to follow Louis C.K., who was there doing the same thing. Stewart was urged on by former Daily Show (and current Nightly Show) producer Rory Albanese, who Instagrammed the whole thing. There's no video from the appearance yet, so it's unclear what he joked about, but we're guessing he probably stayed away from Herman Cain.

Wes Anderson's "The Grand Budapest Hotel" won the Original Screenplay honor at the recently concluded Writers Guild Awards while Morten Tyldum's "The Imitation Game" took home the Adapted Screenplay trophy. "The Internet's Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swarts" written by Brian Knappenberger won Documentary Screenplay award. The film is not nominated for an Academy award.

In TV land, HBO's "True Detective" won the Drama Series award and FX's "Louie" received the Comedy Series trophy.

The Writers Guild of America announced the TV nominees for the 2015 WGA Awards on Thursday (December 4) morning and several new shows broke into the fields in a big way. HBO is adapting Broadway play All the Way as a movie. Bryan Cranston, who won a Tony for his portrayal as President Lyndon Johnson, will reprise his role. The story follow Johnson in the year after Kennedy‘s assassination.

Exclusive: I’ve learned that three veterans of The Daily Show With Jon Stewart – co-executive producers Adam Lowitt, Jennifer Flanz and Steve Bodow — are being tapped as new showrunners for Comedy Central‘s long-running late-night show. They would succeed Rory Albanese, who last week left to move to Los Angeles for primetime comedy development under a two-script deal with Warner Bros. TV. Lowitt, Flanz and Bodow, all multiple Emmy winners for their work on the show, are expected to be upped to executive producers. Lowitt has been on The Daily Show for eight years, having started in 2005 as a segment producer; Flanz has been on the program for seven years, having started as a coordinating producer in 2006; Bodow has been a writer on The Daily Show for a decade, including a stint as head writer.

Last night was his last day at The Daily Show, and like the mensch he is, Jon Stewart used the show's Moment of Zen to wish Albanese a heartfelt farewell. 2013 continues to be a transition year for "The Daily Show." After a summer spent with replacement host John Oliver while Jon Stewart was away directing a film, it's been revealed that showrunner Rory Albanese is making his departure.

Deadline reports that Albanese is leaving his exec producer/showrunner position to pursue a career in primetime comedy. Albanese, who is also a standup comedian, has signed a double blind script development deal with Warner Bros TV and has sold a multi-cam comedy to CBS under the pact. His last day at "The Daily Show" will be Thursday (Oct. 10).

Albanese has been with Comedy Central show for the past seven years, serving as executive producer for the last five. His departure has been in the works, Deadline reports, with the show planning to promote from within for the new showrunner.

The best and the brightest in TV came together at the Nokia Theatre this evening (September 22) for the 65th Annual Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.

Neil Patrick Harris held down the fort as the year’s Mc, entertaining the star-studded crowd with show-stopping performances and hilarious skits with “How I Met Your Mother” cast members and former Emmy hosts.

As for the winners, Claire Danes scored a big win, taking home a trophy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, while Jeff Daniels took home the prize in the Lead Actor category.

Meanwhile, Jim Parsons won his third Emmy for Lead Actor in a comedy for his role in “Big Bang Theory,” and Julia Louis-Dreyfus scored the prize for her lead role in “Veep.”
