Nany González is still searching for her first-ever win on The Challenge. Despite previously competing on 12 seasons of the flagship show, Nany has yet to win a final (even though she made it there four times). Could Season 41 finally be the time she takes home the W? Longtime host T.J. Lavin tells TV Insider that The Real World alum is “definitely one to watch out for” this season, which will feature 16 veteran players and 16 newcomers competing to see who will come out on top. “[Nany is] somebody that’s very in the mix, always, and I feel like her time to shine has got to be coming around the corner,” Lavin teases. He also confirms that González, along with other notorious non-winners Aneesa Ferreira and Leroy Garrett, still have a “hunger” to be a champion. “I see that they’re really trying to get it done, and I love it,” he admits,...

MTV has been spoiling fans of The Challenge in the past year. Not only was the super-sized 40th season celebration one of the most memorable challenges, but Battle of the Eras was then closely followed by the first season of The Challenge: All Stars to air on MTV. Both seasons were some of the most dramatic and entertaining of the franchise, but we're still just getting started.
After The Challenge 40: Battle of the Eras premiered in August 2024 and concluded in January 2025, The Challenge All Stars: Rivals premiered one week after the season 40 finale and ran through April. There's been a quiet drought ever since, but that drought will soon end with the third season of the franchise to premiere within the span of one year. The Challenge season 41 is on its way!

MTV has set Wednesday, July 30 for the Season 41 premiere of its long-running reality competition series The Challenge, themed Vets and New Threats, which will see 16 vets competing against 16 rookies. The upcoming season will roll out globally across MTV’s international networks in over 165 countries in the coming months.
Per MTV, “this season, fresh faces and new threats have entered the arena with one goal: upend the old order and take it all. The Vets, driven by legacy and pride, will need to adapt fast. Their established hierarchy is crumbling, and leaning on past alliances, and experience is no longer reliable—it’s about navigating the ever-shifting landscape of alliances, betrayals, and unknown threats. To win, Veterans and New Threats will be forced to work together, unless they’re forced to turn on each other. Nothing is guaranteed.”
Some of the vets competing include Aneesa Ferreira, Leroy Garrett, and Ct Tamburello.

Meet the Makers: The Challenge
In celebration of Season 40 of MTV’s “The Challenge,” Emily Longeretta moderated a panel with Julie Pizzi, president & CEO, Bunim/Murray Productions and 51 Minds Entertainment, showrunner and executive producer Justin Booth and cast members Leroy Garrett, Aneesa Ferreira, Ct Tamburello and Rachel Robinson.
“One of the things we really focused on was the cast and what we considered ‘Challenge‘ royalty,” said Pizzi on the milestone season. Booth added, “I think the Season 40 of it all was just about having 40 kids and making games bigger and making games bigger and better than before.”
Robinson, who has been part of “The Challenge” franchise since 2002, noted that despite not playing for 10 years and being a mother of three, she couldn’t say no to the opportunity to be part of Season 40. And, she was one of three winners, two of which were women. “The reason I signed...

Hot on the heels of the April 2025 finale of The Challenge All Stars: Rivals, MTV has some exciting news to share with fans of the history-making franchise.
Never mind risking the possibility of Challenge fatigue, MTV has already went ahead and confirmed the return the longest-running reality competition series on television (according to Paramount) for a landmark 41st season. The Challenge season 41 has been renewed and the new season will begin airing on MTV this summer. The theme and full cast will be announced soon.
Look, I love The Challenge as much as the next fan, but we've gotten two seasons in the past year, and now another's on the way. It doesn't help that the past two seasons have been some of the most dramatic and challenging (no pun intended) to watch. There have been personal dramas and minor scandals that managed to cast a shadow over both seasons.

The Challenge: All Stars Rivals brought a variety of individuals back to the competition, including former Road Rules castmates Katie Cooley, Adam Larson, and Steve Meinke.

The Challenge All Stars: Rivals came to a dramatic end on Wednesday when Adam Larson and Steve Meinke edged out Da'Vonne Rogers and Shane Landrum by just one star to win the $250,000 grand prize. Frank Fox and Sam McGinn finished in third place, with Melissa Reeves and Nicole Zanatta in fourth.
For Steve, winning The Challenge was redemption after he "screwed the pooch" in All Stars 4 by misreading instructions and allowing Laurel Stucky to beat him to the finish line. "It was absolutely embarrassing," he tells Gold Derby (see the video interview above). "If you know me, it's the most Steve way to lose something like this. Not against someone else, but myself."
It was a lesson learned for the 48-year-old Challenge vet. This season, Steve says he was hyperaware of the rules and listened to host Tj Lavin's directions with extreme concentration — even if it made him "look constipated.

The Challenge’s Dario Medrano addresses his heated altercation with Devin Walker on All Stars Rivals
Dario Medrano’s return for The Challenge: All Stars Rivals reunited him with his ex, Ashley Kelsey, and several former castmates.
Among them were his good friend, Leroy Garrett, and Leroy’s teammate, Ride or Dies winner Devin Walker.
During the season, things took a crazy turn when Dario suggested to the daily challenge winners that they send Devin and Leroy into elimination to get rid of a strong team.
That information got back to Devin, who relayed it to Leroy, resulting in a blowup between Devin and Medrano.
The two got in one another’s faces during an intense argument that included plenty of trash talk and even threats from Dario that he’d break Devin’s jaw.
In a spoiler alert, Devin and Leroy lost in the elimination later. After their loss, Devin continued to berate Dario at The Jungle elimination location and criticized him further in his later interview remarks.

They lasted through at least half of the All Stars Rivals season but fell in elimination to castmates Nany Gonzalez and Turabi “Turbo” Camkiran.
Ahead of that, many individuals in the house scrambled to try to avoid elimination, but certain players were working with way more allies and had more pull.
In a post-episode interview, Amber shared what triggered her “rage” and caused her to blast her castmate during the nominations meeting.

Amber Borzotra and Faysal "Fessy" Shafaat were the latest pair eliminated from The Challenge All Stars: Rivals on Wednesday night. After being voted into elimination, the former adversaries were taken out by Nany Gonzalez and Turbo Camkiran. "We didn't have [enough] allies in the game to have the numbers," Amber tells Gold Derby. "There was a lot going on I didn't know about."
In this competitive season that pairs players with an arch nemesis from the past, some duos like Amber and Fessy were able to quickly build a bridge to friendship. "I really did want to win. I wanted to win for Fessy — just to prove we could have won a final together ... I was hungry this season. My biggest reason was my daughter and my second biggest reason was showing Fessy he should have stuck with me the first time."

All Stars Rivals also includes pairs of castmates with a feud, whether it’s due to a former argument, falling out, throwing shade, or backstabbing move from the game.
Among the teams are Nany Gonzalez with Turabi “Turbo” Camkiran, Faysal “Fessy” Shafaat with Amber Borzotra, Veronica Portillo with Katie Cooley, and Ashley Mitchell with Aneesa Ferreira.
Former showmance couple Dario Medrano and Ashley Kelsey seem to get along despite their differences.

Aneesa Ferreira is getting fit! The Challenge star posted a new before-and-after look at her recent weight loss over the past year, sharing three photos that showed her progress. I lost 9 lbs on [season] 40. That was in March. It has taken a lot of hard work and consistency both in and out of the gym to get there. Most of all, it took courage and mental toughness. A new season of The Challenge: All Stars has arrived, but there are some huge changes in store. First of all, season 5 won't stream exclusively on Paramount+ as the spinoff has since its premiere in 2021. This time around, the All Stars edition of the franchise will air on MTV for the very first time, but that's not the only change fans can expect for the new season.
While each season of All Stars has simply brought together the best of the best from the earliest days of The Challenge's run, this season has a theme. Like three past seasons of the flagship, past competitors will be paired up with their rival. That person could be anyone from a former friend to a former flame to a sworn enemy. It's going to bring a new fire to The Challenge: All Stars!

Fans of The Challenge voiced their frustration with the upcoming All Stars 5 season, which features a return for the Rivals theme.
Viewers previously saw several Rivals seasons of MTV’s The Challenge, with the first premiering in June 2011.
Johnny Devenanzio and Tyler Duckworth won for the men’s side, while Evelyn Smith and Paula Meronek won for the women.
Rivals II came to MTV just a few years later, with Chris “Ct” Tamburello and Wes Bergmann winning. On the women’s side, Paula Meronek won again, this time with Emily Schromm as her partner.
In 2016, viewers got a third Rivals season on MTV, which featured one of reality TV’s most infamous and memorable moments. Bananas left his partner without any prize money due to a twist after they finished in first place.
While many fans likely loved those particular editions of The Challenge, plenty disapprove of a significant change to All Stars.
