Celebrity Squares: Tim Vine, Joe Wilkinson become resident celebrities
Tim Vine and Him and Her star Joe Wilkinson have signed up to join ITV's reboot of Celebrity Squares.

The duo will be resident celebrities in the programme, and will take a place in one of the squares for each episode.

Celebrity Squares, which will be hosted by Warwick Davis, sees celebrities sitting in squares and contestants deciding whether or not they agree or disagree with their answer to a question.

If they get it correct they win the square, with the first contestant to get three boxes in a line winning the round.

Details of the famous faces joining Vine and Wilkinson in the squares have not yet been revealed, but ITV's Elaine Bedell promised some "great celebrities".

Meanwhile, the show's producer Bob Massie said: "We're thrilled to have the talented Tim Vine and Joe Wilkinson as our resident comedians on Celebrity Squares. Joining host Warwick Davis, their irreverent...

TV News: Salim Akil, Debra Martin Chase, Byron Allen Developing Projects At Different Networks
Some TV news catch-up you should be aware...  First, Salim Akil will write, produce and direct a docu-style comedy titled Mr. Director, which will take audiences on a trip through "Black Hollywood," with Akil himself starring, playing a version of himself, as he navigates the peaks and valleys of the Hollywood machine. I actually dig this idea. It could be fresh, instructive, informative and outright entertaining.  Second, Debra Martin Chase, via her ABC Studios-based Martin Chase Productions, will executive produce a Catherine The Great mini-series, based on a best-selling novel by Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Massie, which will center on the Russian empress' rise to...

Brian Belo settles 'The Only Way is Essex' copyright case
Brian Belo has reached an out-of-court settlement with the makers of The Only Way is Essex over the show's concept.

The former Big Brother winner had alleged that the ITV2 series breached copyright, and that ITV and Lime Pictures - who make the structured reality show - reproduced a format that was originally created by him, Sassy Films and Massive TV for a show called Totally Essex.

Belo, alongside the two companies, had claimed that the concept was pitched to Lime in March and July of 2009. The show never aired, but The Only Way is Essex, which they believed was too similar in its format to Totally Essex, launched on ITV2 in 2010.

The case was due to be heard at the High Court today (October 11), but all of the parties concerned have reached an out-of-court settlement.

A joint statement which was released read: "The claim brought by Mr Belo, Sassy...
