Exclusive: Angela Kinsey is about to make her Hallmark Channel debut.

The Office star will headline Confessions of a Christmas Letter, which will premiere later this year as part of the network’s 15th Annual Countdown to Christmas programming event.

Kinsey plays Settie Rose, a quirky family matriarch who enters her town’s annual holiday letter-writing contest. But needs help, so she hires struggling novelist Juan (Alec Santos of Sight Unseen) to craft the perfect letter. When a mix-up leads to the rumor that Juan is engaged to Settie’s daughter Lily, the whole family scrambles to keep up the charade. As Juan bonds with the Roses and overcomes his writer’s block, Settie learns that embracing her imperfect family is what truly makes her story special.

The movie will also feature a special appearance by Brian Baumgartner, Kinsey’s former The Office co-star.

Production has wrapped on what is sure to be among the most anticipated new movies in the network’s Great American Christmas 2024. Meanwhile, Candace Cameron Bure leads the movie alongside Eric Johnson.

According to the official synopsis, The Dine and Dash Diner has mounting unpaid bills. This forces its owner, Desi (Bure) to sell the mint condition, cherry red 1964 Ford F-100 truck, a beloved gift from her deceased father.

However, as she visits the vintage truck for the last time, she finds a recorded message from her dad on an old audio cassette tape.

We had the chance to chat with The More Love Grows director, Heather Hawthorn Doyle, who is currently filming another project for the network, and she shared her insights into bringing this emotional story to life.

The More Love Grows is delightful. What was your initial vision of the writer’s work?

Okay, you know, what I loved about reading this script? Is it hit on all three things that I look for, which is how's it gonna look visually? What kind of actors are we going to be able to put in these roles? And does it move me emotionally?...

This isn’t your typical Hallmark love story.
