During our rounds at Comic-Con 2009 we had the honor of catching up with director/actor Edward James Olmos to talk about the upcoming 2-hour TV event, Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, which airs this Fall on Sci-Fi.

Written by Jane Espenson and directed by Edward James Olmos, Battlestar Galactica: The Plan storyline begins before the attack on the 12 colonies and will show events mainly from the perspective of two Cylon agents.

Edward James Olmos Talks Battlestar Galactica: The Plan
I had the privelege of attending a wonderful Emmy showcase event for Battlestar Galactica on Thursday night in Hollywood, where producers Ronald D. Moore, David Eick and stars Mary McConnell and Edward James Olmos talked about this riveting series, but they talked about much more than that. Olmos, who starred as Admiral William Adama on Battlestar Galactica, also directed the upcoming TV movie, Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, and he was certainly excited about the new TV movie.

"I gotta tell you, not to give anything away, it is exactly what you think it is," Olmos said. "You see the complete opposite of the first 281 days of what we went through, ... seen through the eyes of the Cylons, and it is breathtaking. It's fantastic. It's not fun, but I will say that you will sit there [gasping]."

"After you see The Plan, you will go back to see the series again," Olmos said.
