Marlo Acevedo

Born in Arecibo PR, Marlo Acevedo lived in Miami Florida during her early childhood. At the age of five years old the family moved back to Lares, PR where Marlo lived with her mother and younger sister. As a young adult, Marlo attended the School of Bellas Artes in Arecibo where she started her career in theater. After one year of acting classes, her training was interrupted when she fell ill and had to move urgently to Tampa Florida to seek medical care. While receiving treatment for Progressive Famliar Intra-hepatic cholestasis type 3, she enrolled in Hillsborough Community College and graduated as a registered nurse. Marlo worked in several nursing fields including: OBGYN, Mother/Baby, Hospice, and Medical-Surgical Telemetry. Eventually she obtained her Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse Certification (CMSRN). After a few years of working as a nurse, Marlo decided to pursue the career she had to abandon abruptly. She started training at Andi Matheny Acting Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida. It was here that she trained with veteran actor Eugenie Bondurant and Andi Matheny. Marlo continues to work on perfecting her craft alongside Natalia Leigh of NL Acting Studios in Orlando, Florida and Anthony Abeson from New York City. Marlo has participated in projects like X-Therapy, which was nominated by several film festivals, the series Collision, and the film Last Stand of the Dead.
