HBO’s Harry Potter Must Cast The Institute Star After His Sirius Black Confession
Image
The Institute star Ben Barnes has finally spoken about the fan casting that’s followed him for over a decade, and HBO needs to start taking notes. For years Harry Potter fans have imagined Barnes as the perfect Sirius Black in countless edits, and dream casts. And now, the Narnia star has actually addressed the hype, while speaking at the Tampa Bay Comic Convention with Collider.

I found it very weird for a lot of years, because I didn’t really understand what was happening. People would sort of ask me to sign things or—and I was like, “You know what? I was in Narnia.” So for a lot of years, I found it confusing.

And then I went through a phase of being like, “Wait, I’ve been—people have sort of imagined me in this sort of old universe thing for like, 15 plus, 20 years now.” And it’s that kind of,...

Leaked Spider-Man: Brand New Day Footage: Tom Holland Does Action in His New Spidey Suit
Image
Tom Holland is back in action, literally, leaping, swinging, and smiling through chaos in the first leaked footage from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Filming just kicked off on August 1 in Glasgow, Scotland, and already, the internet’s spider-sense is tingling.

Caught in the middle of a high-octane sequence atop an armored truck, Holland’s Spider-Man sports a fresh yet familiar suit that echoes the classic red-and-blue look from the comics, with raised webbing, a new spider emblem, and wrist-mounted web-shooters. The footage shows him performing stunts both masked and unmasked, waving to fans between takes and, in one very human moment, readjusting his Spidey suit post-wedgie.

Tom Holland acknowledges “speculation” over possible James Bond casting
Tom Holland
His Spidey senses may be tingling but is he ready to hop into the Aston Martin? Tom Holland is just one of many names that has circled the role of James Bond, but he’s nowhere near ready to discuss any sort of possibility.

Tom Holland recently appeared on one of Gordon Ramsay’s programs, where the host couldn’t help but note that his own middle name was James, asking his guest, “Ever thought about using the word James for future movies going forward?” To which Holland coyly replied, “Listen, there’s speculation at the minute. We’ll keep it to a minimum for now. We’ll get there one day.”

But Gordon Ramsay pushed a bit more, asking Tom Holland if he could imagine what would happen to his life and career if he were to take over the role of James Bond from Daniel Craig. ”I mean,...

James Bond Contender Tom Holland Addresses Casting Speculation After Being Shortlisted
Image
While plans for Bond 26 are quickly gaining pace, Spider-Man star Tom Holland has responded to rumors that he is in contention for the hotly contested role. Set to be directed by Dune’s Denis Villeneuve, news only recently broke that Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight had been tapped to write the next entry in the long-running spy franchise.

However, before Knight’s recent appointment as the Bond 26 screenwriter, reports intimated that Amazon MGM studios were potentially looking to cast an actor under 30 years of age as the next 007, and had named Holland, Saltburn’s Jacob Elordi, and Babygirl’s Harris Dickinson at the top of their James Bond shortlist.

During an appearance on chef Gordon Ramsay’s YouTube channel, Holland sought to downplay rumors of his inclusion on the 007 casting shortlist. Suggesting that they should keep the speculation to a minimum, Holland hinted that the actual answer...

When speaking recently with Gordon Ramsay, the Spider-Man star was asked about the Bond rumors. “Listen, there’s speculation at the moment. We’ll keep it to a minimum for now. We’ll get there one day,” he responded with a smile.

The chef then took a moment to seriously ask Holland, “Can you imagine what’s going to happen to your life if you do? First of all, you’d love that opportunity, right?”

Image
Pilou Asbæk, best known for his unforgettable turn as the villainous Euron Greyjoy in Game of Thrones and his current role in Apple TV+’s Foundation, is stepping into yet another high-profile project. The Danish actor has reportedly joined the cast of Blood on Snow, the upcoming crime thriller directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga and based on the bestselling novel by Jo Nesbø. How To Watch 28 Years Later At Home
Image
Who knew that one the best and most memorable movies of the year would be utterly unlike anything we expected it to be? "28 Years Later" (which we reviewed here) had all the makings of becoming merely the latest standard zombie movie, releasing at a time when nothing new could possibly be done with this post-apocalyptic genre. May we never doubt the dream team of director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland again, who joined forces once again to recreate the magic of the original "28 Days Later" over two decades after the fact. Instead of a hacky and superficial legacy sequel, we were given a soulful and meditative coming-of-age story about accepting the inevitability -- and even the beauty -- of death.

After enjoying an immensely successful run at the box office, "28 Years Later" is now set for its highly-anticipated release on home media. Viewers will be pleased to...

One Of 2025's Most Acclaimed Horror Movies Is Now Officially Available On Digital
Image
Prime time horror movie season has not even really started yet, but several films have already impressed critics and audiences. While the year started out slowly with a miss from Blumhouse with Wolf Man, things picked up with the releases of Companion and The Monkey.

The spring time was an even better spot for horror with the release of Ryan Coogler's Sinners. The highly original horror film made $365.8 million worldwide, and got great reviews from critics. The film is even in early talks to get Oscar nominations, which is a rare feat for a horror film.

Sinners was a big win, and then franchise horror had a big moment with Final Destination: Bloodlines. The film made $285.3 million and was touted as one of the best in the series.

It has not been all wins for the horror franchise this year, however. Blumhouse delivered another major disappointment with M3GAN 2.0,...

The Number One Horror Movie on Netflix is an “Ambitious gem”
Image
Werewolves are popping off. While it was met with mixed reviews, there was a lot I liked about Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man (now streaming on Peacock) this year. Next year, we have Robert Eggers’ Werewulf to look forward to. With Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Lily-Rose Depp, and Willem Dafoe, Werewulf is as much a werewolf movie as it is a Nosferatu reunion. Oh, and Steven C. Miller’s Werewolves, which was released last year, is worth a look, despite not quite getting the acclaim it deserved.

Werewolves, vampires, mummies – we are practically in the midst of a Universal renaissance. It’s a glorious time to be a horror fan, especially a horror fan raised on the movie monster classics. Better still, it’s always refreshing to see these classic tales refracted through a modern lens. One of the best to do so was a surprise Sundance hit that successfully managed a wide theatrical release.

Image
Russell Crowe will always be famous for his enduring, Oscar-winning performance in Gladiator, but just last year, he featured alongside a Marvel veteran in a gripping crime thriller that’s become a streaming hit. Crowe stars alongside Karen Gillan in Sleeping Dogs, the mystery suspense film following an ex-homicide detective with memory loss who’s forced to solve a brutal murder. However, in the process of doing so, he uncovers some dark secrets about his past. Sleeping Dogs is currently streaming on Hulu in the United States and on Netflix globally, where it’s one of the most popular movies in Canada, Taiwan, and Hungary. The film earned a poor 42% from critics but a solid 81% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, and it grossed only $2 million at the box office during an extremely limited theatrical run.

Sleeping Dogs is based on The Book of Mirrors by E.O. Chirovici, and not to...
