We’re not sure why, but something will bring Belle to the Dimera mansion. While there, Ej will question this visit and Belle will make it clear this changes nothing. He is still dead to her. We assume there will be some business related to the trial to discuss, or even something personal, given they do share family ties.

The week will start with Marlena taking on a new client, and with Ej having a session with Ej on Tuesday, odds are, he’s the client in question. But things will take a turn mid-week when Ej serves his psychiatrist with a subpoena.

Chanel’s Decision

Meanwhile, while Belle talks things out with Johnny, Chanel (Raven Bowens) will make a big decision: take the fall for her husband.

As suspected, Ej’s dirty tactics to get a mistrial fell on deaf ears. The judge wanted nothing to do with his underhanded stunt. But how could it have worked when there were so many conflicts of interest at play here?

And now Ej no longer has to worry. There’s one less conflict of interest since Belle (Martha Madison) wisely kicked him to the curb. Their relationship is over. Let’s see if it stays that way. Understandably, she felt used and humiliated. Hope the sacrifice was worth it, Ej.

Days of Our Lives has been mourning the loss of John Black, while the cast has been mourning beloved star Drake Hogestyn. Fan favorite Alison Sweeney was unable to film for John’s funeral due to a scheduling conflict, so Sami missed the funeral.

Lucky for fans and Sweeney, the writers crafted a return that allowed Sami to remember him her own way. The storyline also gave Sweeney the chance to honor Hogestyn on-screen, and the result was soap gold.

A Rocky Relationship Remembered

Sami returned to Salem this week, showing Days fans a side of her we haven’t seen, especially when it came to John. Those two had a turbulent relationship at best. From the moment Sami saw John having sex with Marlena (Deidre Hall) on the Titan conference table, she was out to destroy him. Even though John was Marlena’s great love, Sami didn’t care.

Ej decided to burn everything to the ground at Johnny’s trial in the Thursday, August 7, episode of Days of Our Lives. In bed, he assured Belle that she had nothing to worry about and that there was nothing but respect. And they traded I love yous. But then in the courtroom, after Belle’s tough questioning, Ej tried to play the conflict-of-interest card. Dark Ej was in play, and he didn’t care who he had to take down to save his son.

Desperate Move

Ej (Dan Feuerriegel) created the conflict of interest after Belle (Martha Madison) recused herself from prosecuting her nephew. He pushed for her to be the prosecutor of record, and so everybody knew going in that there was a big ol’ conflict of interest, considering she was the defendant’s aunt.

This time, however, Ej exploited the conflict and made Johnny (Carson Boatman) testify that Belle was Ej’s girlfriend.

Belle Lashes Out at Ej

Belle (Martha Madison) is Johnny’s (Carson Boatman) aunt. This makes prosecuting him for Ej’s (Dan Feuerriegel) attempted murder difficult.

Ej is Johnny’s father. That’s why he’s defending his son. Belle and Ej are also sleeping together. Which makes all of the above a lot more complicated.

The two can’t quite decide where they stand. One minute, they’re at each other’s throats. The next, they are at… some other parts. One minute they’re kicking and screaming, the next they’re kissing and smooching. Which one will it be this Friday? That would be the angry side of their relationship, as Belle has some fighting words for Ej.

Things get personal in court when Ej (Dan Feuerriegel) decides to put Belle’s (Martha Madison) past on trial, particularly her past with him. “Your honor, Miss Black has a major conflict of interest,” he proclaims, as a flashback of him and Belle kissing is displayed on screen.

‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Sweeny Couldn’t Make It Back To Film John’s Memorial Service

Sweeny was gutted that she wasn’t able to adjust her schedule and make it back to the set to film John’s memorial service last fall. Hogestyn was dying when they were filming the funeral scenes, which made them all the more heartbreaking and poignant.

However, Sami makes the trip to Salem this coming week to mourn the man who was like a second father to her. Unfortunately, she never had the chance to tell him that. Sami also wants to offer her mother some support.

With that in mind, on Wednesday, July 30th, we’ve got Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) confronting Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd). She knows that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Tate Black (Leo Howard) were lied to about the sex of the baby because Rachel Black (Alice Halsey) was talking about it being a little girl and she had bought the bunny. But Sarah knows it was a little boy in Sophia’s belly.

And Sarah may try and harass some info out of Sophia.

Lovers Ej and Belle are facing off against each other in the courtroom on Days of Our Lives. The situation is quite offbeat because the trial is for Ej’s son Johnny, who’s been accused of shooting Ej, who has decided to represent him in court. Belle had recused herself because of her relationship with Ej, but he managed to get that reversed, and now the Da is also the prosecutor. Martha Madison recently opened up about the storyline and explained how Belle and Ej bring the heat.

When Amy (Shi Ne Nielson) takes Sophia (Rachel Boyd) to the hospital to ensure she doesn’t have an infection, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) has the perfect opportunity to talk to Sophia about a certain discrepancy. The doctor knows that Sophia was set to have a boy. Meanwhile, the teen is telling everybody who will listen that she had a girl.

So Sarah needs Sophia to set things straight. What’s the real story? Funny enough, Sophia does tell her the story, but we’re not privy to the particulars.

On Monday, July 28th, Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) is rubbing something in Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) face, and it may be about that Horton diamond necklace that Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) dropped off on his way out of town. I wonder if Gwen goes to the cops because, you know, Jack Junior (JJ) Deveraux (Casey Moss) is not going to run over there looking to arrest anybody or take it back for her.

Marin Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) tells Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) about her strange dream. It is Queen of the Night themed. Marin says Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) said that she was ill in her mind, body, and soul, and things are going to get grim.

Johnny’s Trial Starts

It doesn’t matter that Susan (Stacy Haiduk) “knows” that Johnny (Carson Boatman) didn’t shoot her Elvis. The courts, for some reason, aren’t dropping their charges. Which means Johnny has to show up. He has to sit there and listen and, eventually, maybe defend himself.

But he’s not alone. He has help. His father, the man he’s accused of shooting, is also his defense attorney. Oh, and his aunt Belle (Martha Madison) is the prosecutor. But that’s Ok, too. Because Ej (Dan Feuerriegel) and Belle are sleeping together. Which makes this a very one big happy family kind of trial.

Everyone is (mostly) certain of Johnny’s innocence, but Ej’s (Dan Feuerriegel) inability to remember is standing in the way. That, and video evidence that Johnny was at the mansion with a gun the night of the shooting. Look for Ej and Belle (Martha Madison) to be at odds as Johnny’s attorney goes against the Da.
