Erin Patterson, the Australian woman accused of murder and attempted murder of her estranged husband’s relatives with poisonous mushrooms in July 2023, has been found guilty.
The trial lasted 10 weeks and featured over 50 witnesses. Patterson, 50, faces life in prison.
That summer, in the small town of Leongatha, roughly 85 miles from Melbourne, Patterson hosted her husband Simon’s parents, Gail and Donald Patterson, his aunt Heather Wilkinson and her husband Ian Wilkerson for a so-called “special” lunch. For the event, Patterson prepared and served a beef Wellington containing a paste made of finely chopped death cap mushrooms – one of the deadliest mushrooms in the world.
The Amanita mushroom poisoning caused several instances of organ failure in each individual, and all four of the lunch guests were hospitalized the next day, with three of them soon dying. Ian, the sole survivor, recovered after weeks in the ICU and went on to testify in Patterson’s trial.

Let’s get this out of the way: M3GAN 2.0 isn’t remotely a horror film. It’s a sequel of a different flavor, like Happy Death Day 2U or Evil Dead II. Or swapping Windows for Apple. Writer and director Gerard Johnstone and co-writer Akela Cooper reimagine M3GAN 2.0 as an off-the-wall action comedy with artificial intelligence as a topic of controversy. So, we're getting a "Scrubs" revival. It's frustrating, because I'm a huge fan of Bill Lawrence's medical comedy that originally ran from 2001 to 2010 on NBC — and, for the last year of its existence in that form, ABC. Led by Zach Braff as Dr. John "J.D." Dorian, the show was funny, shockingly emotional, and surprisingly medically accurate, and its main cast of characters — Donald Faison's cocksure surgeon (and J.D.'s bestie) Dr. Chris Turk, Judy Reyes' tough but big-hearted nurse Carla Espinosa, Sarah Chalke's neurotic but brilliant Dr. Elliot Reid, and the stubborn and often enraged doctor who serves as J.D.'s unwilling mentor, Dr. Perry Cox, played by John C. McGinley — are uniformly excellent.

BAFTA and IFTA nominee Róisín Gallagher reprise her role as recovering alcoholic Shiv Sheridan. Last seen holding the seams of her dysfunctional family together, and leaving her ex-boyfriend to board a plane to Melbourne by himself, Shiv now meets Daryl, a handsome and mysterious Australian stranger.
Unsurprisingly, Donald will play Daryl. He is an Australian acting vet who has appeared in the likes of Home and Away, Wentworth and the recent Office: Australia.
Series 3 of The Dry sees original cast return including IFTA nominee Siobhán Cullen as Caroline, Adam Richardson as Ant, Oscar nominee Ciarán Hinds as Tom, Pom Boyd as Bernie, Moe Dunford as Jack and Eoin Duffy as Rory.

Savannah Chrisley is not afraid to hit back at rumors, and she did just that on the Tuesday, June 17, episode of her Unlocked podcast. There’s some terrific news circulating out there for those living with high expectations and anticipation of the hopeful Scrubs reboot. According to TV Line, the project’s executive producer, Bill Lawrence, who created the original series, plans to focus the follow-up on everyone’s favorite hospital buddies — Zach Braff’s Jd and Donald Faison’s Turk. His comments come after addressing the ninth season of the series that started it all, which only included a handful of original cast members, introducing plenty of new faces to the medical team.

"Community" is a show with a lot of moving parts. The Greendale Seven each bring their own element of cute and cuddly chaos to the table — or more accurately, the four-part desk clump in the Greendale study room. If there's one part of the show that you could say was the heart and soul of NBC's classic comedy, it has to be Troy and Abed. Keira Knightley and Rosamund Pike sat down with Vanity Fair to discuss the 20th anniversary of the beloved adaptation of “Pride & Prejudice,” which has become the definitive version of the oft-filmed story for many a Jane Austen fan. Knightley and Pike played sisters Elizabeth and Jane Bennett, with their cinematic patriarch portrayed by the legendary Donald Sutherland.
“I have to say, most actors have been a disappointment since then,” said Knightley, who was just 19 when she starred in the film. The actress netted her first Oscar nomination for her work.

Fortnite has always been the epitome of implementing numerous crossovers over the years. Think of any major IP in the current scene, be it Marvel, John Wick, or Uncharted. You name it, Epic eventually teamed up with each one of them and introduced skins and unique game modes related to it. You might think Epic must’ve planned this strategic path since the beginning of their journey. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
