Biography

    • Matej Paprciak is a Czech actor born in Prague and based in London, who studied acting at Giles Foreman Acting Studio in London. He has performed in numerous TV Shows, commercials, theatre plays, short films and formerly appeared as a model for Armani, Dolce Gabbana and Versace. He also previously collaborated with director Patrik Krivanek on his award-winning film Quiet Crossing, which got him a nomination for the Best Actor at the Maine Student Film Festival in the USA.

      Matej Paprciak is an actor, model, and ex-professional footballer born in Prague, Czech Republic, now living in London, United Kingdom. He started his career as a sportsman and played football (soccer) professionally for Slavia Prague but due to the injury he had to quit. After that, he went to study university in Prague. During this time he was scouted by a model agency and started a new career of a professional model for such a brands as Armani, Versace, Dolce Gabbana, and shot editorials for Esquire, GQ, Harpers Bazaar, Vogue, and Elle. He also appeared in TV commercials for Coca-Cola, Maserati, Budweiser, United Colours of Benetton, and Bohemia Sekt.

      He moved from Prague to London to chase his new dream of becoming an actor. He firstly attended a couple of short acting courses and performed in an amateur theatre and then took one year course at the Richmond Drama School. After that, and thanks to his monologues of Hamlet and Biff, he was successfully admitted to study the full-time course at one of the most prestigious drama schools in London focused mainly on method acting, the GFCA. He was taught under Giles Foreman and other one of the greatest teachers in the UK, who taught acting stars such as Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender, Anthony Hopkins, and Colin Firth.

      As a part of the school theatre, he appeared in roles of Treplyov in "Seagull", as Orsino in "Twelfth Night", as Angelo in "Measure for Measure", as Marco/Eddie in a "View from the Bridge", as Soleni in "Three Sisters", Duke Angelo in Shakespearen "Measure for Measure" and as Shpigelski in "A Month in the Country". He also appeared in a couple of short and student films, when the most noticeable is 8 awards-winning film Quiet Crossing, directed by Patrik Krivanek. This film also got him a nomination for the Best Actor at the Maine Student Film Festival in the USA.
