‘The Hunting Wives’ Review: Malin Akerman and Brittany Snow Get Hot and Bothered in Netflix’s Deliciously Trashy Drama
Image
In the third episode of Netflix’s The Hunting Wives, Sophie (Brittany Snow) posits a theory as to why her glamorous new best friend, Margo (Malin Akerman), might be sleeping with an inappropriately younger man. Perhaps, Sophie suggests, Margo sees the tryst as a second chance, a redo of her lonely and impoverished high school years.

Margo listens politely, even allowing that Sophie might have a point. But that’s not the real reason, she counters. She does what she does simply because she wants to — “because it’s fun.”

In that, Margo and her series share a guiding philosophy. The Hunting Wives consistently prioritizes steamy scenes over sensible plotting or nuanced characters, juicy twists over deep emotions or big ideas. It might all be incredibly frustrating, if it were not also so wildly entertaining.

Created by Rebecca Cutter based on the book by May Cobb, The Hunting Wives is technically a mystery thriller,...

How To Train Your Dragon Becomes Only The 5th 2025 Movie To Hit Huge Box Office Milestone
Image
The How To Train Your Dragon remake just burned through a major box office milestone. A remake of the 2010 animated classic, the live-action remake stars Mason Thames (Hiccup) and Nico Parker (Astrid), alongside the lovable CGI dragon Toothless. As they discover the truth about the war between dragons and Vikings, audiences have been pouring into theaters.

While Superman dominated the box office this week, a report from Variety indicates that it is not this weekend's only winner. How to Train Your Dragon took fourth place and crossed a massive global total. It has officially earned $239 million domestically and $560 million worldwide, having crossed the $550 million mark this weekend.

It is only the fifth movie of the year to reach that milestone, as only Ne Zha 2, Lilo & Stitch, A Minecraft Movie, and Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning reached it sooner. Ne Zha 2 finished its run with nearly $1.9 billion, while...

Gal Gadot’s Role in Rachel Zegler’s ‘Snow White’ Has Led to “worst-case scenario” For Her Hollywood Career – Report
Image
After the film’s flop, Gal Gadot, who starred as the Evil Queen in Snow White, released in the first quarter of this year, is now questioning her future in Hollywood. The report suggests that the actress feels under pressure and is cautiously choosing new roles that might change her luck for the future following this ‘box-office bomb’.

Also featuring Rachel Zegler as the main lead, Snow White had just grossed approximately $205.7 million worldwide. The film didn’t even do well on the charts and stands at a 2/10 IMDb score, the lowest for a Disney production. This figure is widely considered a major disappointment, especially when the production budget was reported between $240–270 million, with an overall investment, including sales and marketing, being closer to approximately $500 million.

‘Worst-Case Scenario’ Allegations: Unpacking the ‘Snow White’ Storm

The film faced backlash for several reasons, including the casting and public comments that followed. Zegler...

The Hunting Wives on Netflix trailer teases wild seduction and murder
Image
A seductive new drama that is sure to be juicy is coming our way soon! Starring Malin Åkerman and Brittany Snow, get ready to dive deep into the world of a small Texas town in The Hunting Wives. The upcoming series is based on the novel of the same name by author May Cobb. And now, you can get a look at it with the newly released trailer!

The Hunting Wives premieres Monday, July 21, 2025 with all 8 episodes on Netflix. As always with the streaming service, you can expect the episodes to drop on the streamer at 12 a.m. Pt / 3 a.m. Et. The Lionsgate TV production was initially supposed to premiere on Starz.

However, the two companies recently separated, with Lionsgate taking the show to Netflix instead. I'll be honest, the series is probably going to get more eyes on it on Netflix, so the move was probably for the best.

Once Upon a Time Cast: Where Are They Now?
Image
In 2011, ABC created something magical with Once Upon a Time. It blended beloved fairytales and real-world storylines, and the fans loved it.

It began with two worlds: Storybrooke, Maine, and the fairytale realm, which expanded throughout the series into multiple fairytale realms, including Neverland, Camelot, and Oz.

The premise seemed simple. Young Henry Mills brought his birth mother, Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), to Storybrooke to break a curse and believe in fairy tales, including those of his adoptive mother, who had once been the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla).

Regina and Emma will contemplate whether the alternate world is better. (ABC/Jack Rowand)

Simple, right?

Not so much, especially when Emma’s parents turned out to be Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas).

Netflix Drops First Look at Their Upcoming Replacment for ‘Big Little Lies’
Image
Viewers' next television obsession is about to arrive with Netflix’s new series, The Hunting Wives. A new trailer has just dropped for the streaming platform, starring Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman. The series is adapted from the book of the same name by May Cobb and is due to fill the void that the scandalous and female-fronted HBO series, Big Little Lies, left behind.

Instead of the coastal town of Monterey, The Hunting Wives will instead set the scene in an affluent East Texas town, comparable to the world of Friday Night Lights. Snow stars as Sophie, an East Coast transplant who is a fish out of water in the South. Hailing from Cambridge, Massachusetts, Sophie befriends Margo (Akerman) and her group of female friends, aptly dubbed the Hunting Wives. However, what starts as simple bonding turns deadly in the series' new trailer released by People.

Could he possibly be an “explorersuperknight?”

The bedtime story marks another star-studded addition to CBeebies’ roster, which has featured everyone from Olivia Colman and Tom Hardy to Harry Styles and the Spice Girls. Game Of Thrones Actor Kit Harington Starred In One Of HBO's Best Comedies
Image
Last year everyone was talking about how "Challengers" was the best movie ever made about a tennis match, but little did they know HBO had already beaten that film to the punch. The 50-minute long HBO comedy special "7 Days in Hell" had the same basic structure: It showed us the main event of an intense tennis match, and it jumped back and forth through time to explain why the match was so important. "7 Days in Hell" even managed to outdo "Challengers" in the bisexual representation department. "Challengers" could only imply that a threesome happened at the end, but "7 Days in Hell" actually showed it.

It's strange how overlooked "7 Days in Hell" is these days, because the cast was star-studded. Not only was Andy Samberg starring as the fictional cocaine-addicted "Bad Boy of Tennis," Aaron Williams, but there was also Kit Harington as the young and simple-minded tennis prodigy Charles Poole.

Remembering Mark Snow: A brief oral history of ‘The X-Files Theme,’ from the strange real title to the surprising connection to a Smiths song to the missing lyrics
Image
When you think about The X-Files, a few things instantly come to mind. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson’s paranormal-investigating FBI agents shining their flashlights into a void. The glow of the Cigarette Smoking Man’s cancer stick. The “I Want to Believe” UFO poster. “The Truth Is Out There” tagline. And the theme music.

Composed by the prolific Mark Snow, the theme was first played in the second episode and would gone to appear in all subsequent episodes of the original series, the two feature films, and the 2016-18 revival.

Mark Snow, the composer of The X-Files theme, dead at 78
Michael Madsen
Fresh off the news that ’90s tough-guy actor Michael Madsen has passed away comes word that another major figure from the decade’s pop culture has also died. Mark Snow, the composer behind The X-Files’ iconic theme music, has passed away at the age of 78.

Of the thousands of TV theme songs out there, few are as instantly recognizable as Snow’s haunting composition for Chris Carter’s groundbreaking supernatural series. The theme became an indelible part of the show’s identity, running throughout its original 1993–2002 run, as well as in both feature film spin-offs—which Snow also scored—and the revival series from 2016–2018. In the ’90s, the eerie whistling melody was everywhere—it even became a chart hit in the UK.

Snow was a frequent collaborator of Chris Carter, also composing the scores for Millennium, Harsh Realm, The Lone Gunmen, and more. Long before The X-Files, he was already a prolific TV composer,...

Rachel Zegler at an event for Snow White (2025)
Stars: Rachel Zegler, Gal Gadot, Andrew Burnap, Andrew Barth Feldman, Tituss Burgess, Martin Klebba, Jason Kravits, George Salazar, Jeremy Swift, Andy Grotelueschen, Ansu Kabia, Patrick Page | Written by Erin Cressida Wilson | Directed by Marc Webb

As someone who grew up, thanks to my mum’s love of the films, on Disney’s legacy of animated classics, I went into the 2025 live-action Snow White hoping for something that would both honour the past and confidently step into the present. What I got was a film that is caught in an awkward tug-of-war between honouring its classic roots and reshaping itself for contemporary sensibilities.

Directed by Marc Webb and starring Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, this adaptation is undeniably ambitious. From the outset, it’s clear that this isn’t exactly the same story told in 1937 (something other Disney live-action remakes fail to do sometimes). Here,...

Solo Ttrpg ‘Soul Cemetery’ Taps Into Nostalgia With Its Wonderful Storytelling [Review]
Image
Nostalgia is a concept I have a complicated relationship with. While my appreciation for things like classic survival horror and Psx-style graphics may come from games I played at a formative time in my life, I still can critically analyze them from my current perspective and identify what draws me to these tropes and what doesn’t work. Still, there’s a warm feeling returning to something you used to enjoy, even if it doesn’t hold up in the same way that you remember. It can remind you of the specific time and place you were in your life when it was introduced to you, connecting you to where you were when you experienced a particular piece of media. This is the feeling that Soul Cemetery, a new solo tabletop RPG by designer Snow, succeeds beautifully at capturing.

I’ve written a lot about tabletop RPGs, but this is...

The 15 Best Roald Dahl Movies And TV Shows, Ranked
Image
British author Roald Dahl is one of the most celebrated writers of children's literature in the 20th century, with his work read by millions of readers across multiple generations worldwide. Many of Dahl's novels and short stories have been adapted into film and television projects, as early as the '60s. In addition to his literary career, Dahl was also a screenwriter, both of family-friendly projects and more mature fare. These original movies have earned their own fair share of fans over the subsequent decades, adding to his enduring legacy.

Simply put, Dahl's work continues to stand the test of time long after his passing in 1990, including adaptations of his work on-screen. There is an extensive amount of Dahl adaptations beyond the numerous takes on his 1964 novel "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," each reflecting his storytelling style in its own way. With that in mind, the tones and themes...

30 Greatest Zombie Apocalypse Movies of All Time, Ranked
Image
Zombie movies have shuffled, sprinted, and slithered their way into almost every cinematic corner you can imagine. Sure, horror is their home base — all that moaning and munching kind of lends itself to scares — but the undead have a real knack for multitasking. Zombie movies aren’t just about scares and screams anymore.

They’ve taken on all kinds of wild and wonderful forms — from heartbreaking love stories and dark comedies to creepy, quiet tales and full-blown action-packed chaos. While some still stick to the classic horror vibes, others break all the rules and create something totally unexpected, sometimes weird, sometimes sad, and often surprisingly funny.

The best ones aren’t always the loudest or the goriest. Sometimes they’re slow burns. Sometimes they’re romantic. And sometimes, they’re just plain bizarre. But they all offer a new spin on the end of the world, where survival might not be about outrunning the dead,...

Disney’s Stitch is far from done causing chaos at the box office, as the mouse-eared studio confirms Lilo & Stitch 2 is in development. On Thursday, Walt Disney Pictures announced Lilo & Stitch 2 with a video featuring Stitch racing through the Disney Studios backlot in a powder-pink Power Wheels-style Convertible. While ripping through the various stages on the property, Stitch idles in front of Stage 2, the number glowing as the little blue alien warns audiences to “Get ready.” Excited by the prospect of returning to the silver screen for another live-action adventure, Stitch burns rubber, leaving tracks that spell Lilo & Stitch 2.

Disney’s Lilo & Stitch recently banked $923M globally, making the live-action remake of the studio’s 2002 animated classic the second-highest-grossing MPA movie after Legendary’s A Minecraft Movie ($954M). To offer some perspective, the original Lilo & Stitch earned $274.7M at the global box office.

The 'Lilo & Stitch' Franchise's Future Has Been Decided by Disney After Massive Box Office Success
Image
Well, that didn't take very long. After a successful debut in cinemas, the Lilo & Stitch movie has proven to Disney that some of its live-action ideas can still be hugely profitable. That's why the studio announced today that the adventure is far from over: Lilo & Stitch 2 is already in the works. A release date is yet to be revealed.

The announcement was made with a fun video in which an irreverent-as-always Stitch drives through the Disney Burbank studio lot in the iconic pink car and the number 2 can be seen everywhere. The video ends with Stitch drawing the title Lilo & Stitch 2 title in the parking lot. It's way too early for details of the sequel, but it makes sense that Disney would have to move fast on it. Contrary to her 2-D animated counterpart, real-life Lilo (Maia Keahola) won't stay young forever, so it wouldn't be surprising if production started sooner rather than later.

Brittany Snow is about to take on her most complex role yet in The Hunting Wives. The dark drama television series debuts in July on Netflix in the US. However, many fans might not know about her sneaky role in a popular Dick Wolf crime drama series. Yes, before rising to fame for her iconic roles in Pitch Perfect and Hairspray, she took a dark turn in a guest-starring role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

In 2006, she appeared in the episode titled Influence. She played a troubled teen whose battle with bipolar disorder led to a tragic series of events. The powerful performance was just the beginning of Snow’s acting range. She will bring her most in a role which is as dark as it is “salacious” in her recent project, The Hunting Wives.

Image
Disney's live-action Snow Whiteremake was one of the most controversial movies of 2025, and star Rachel Zegler has finally spoken out about the controversies surrounding the film. The handling of the Seven Dwarfs, the story changes, and the involvements of Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot in the Snow White cast were the topics of all kinds of conversations online, turning the Disney film into a frequent talking point in political circles. Unfortunately, many of the valid criticisms were overshadowed by attacks, with Rachel Zegler being unfairly targeted by many online circles up until the film's release.

'No One Can Be Him': Hunger Games Prequel Star Talks Replacing Donald Sutherland as President Snow
Image
Ralph Fiennes promised to do justice to Coriolanus Snow in the next Hunger Games prequel. Despite his impressive acting career, Fiennes asserted he could never match the late Donald Sutherland’s take on the character.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Ralph Fiennes teased what The Hunger Games fans can expect from his President Snow in Sunrise on the Reaping; it’s a homage to Donald Sutherland, who stole every scene he was in the original movie trilogy. "I’m really thrilled," Fiennes said about his casting, confirmed last May 16. "Look, I’m a Donald Sutherland fan. I’m not going to try and be Donald Sutherland, because no one can be him. But I think the character he created is very complex… The complexity of that psychology, I hope I can echo in some way."

Cold, manipulative, and calculating, Sutherland’s Coriolanus Snow was a formidable villain. Upon receiving the script,...

Poll: What’s The Best Zombie Movie?
Danny Boyle
This weekend sees the release of Danny Boyle’s much-anticipated return to the 28 Days Later franchise, 28 Years Later. Reviews and audience reactions to this one are all over the place, but the movie is doing well at the box office. Zombies tend to be good at the box office, although of course no one ever uses “the z-word” in these movies, with Boyle and his writer, Alex Garland, preferring the term “infected”.

Of course, zombie movies are nothing new. Next to vampires, they’re probably the most popular antagonist in horror, with it a strong genre ever since 1932’s White Zombie, which is generally regarded as the first real zombie film. At a certain point, the genre used to revolve around voodoo curses, such as in Val Lawton’s classic I Walked With a Zombie, and even the underrated Wes Craven movie, The Serpent and the Rainbow. Yet,...

Image
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is the next installment in the Hunger Games franchise and will see one acting icon stepping into the shoes of another. Suzanne Collins' second prequel to the Hunger Games trilogy focuses on the 50th Hunger Games, in which Katniss and Peeta's future mentor Haymitch Abernathy competes. The movie adaptation is set to release in theaters in November 2026; Sunrise on the Reaping's cast features many notable actors playing younger versions of established Hunger Games characters, including Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee, Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, and Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket, among others.

Meanwhile, recent Oscar nominee Ralph Fiennes will be playing Panem's tyrannical President Coriolanus Snow, who was portrayed by the late Donald Sutherland in the Hunger Games movies of the 2010s. The studio’s latest casting move arrives weeks before production begins and ahead of the film’s planned 20 November 2026 theatrical launch.

Based on Suzanne Collins’ March 18 novel—which moved 1.5 million copies in its first week—the movie revisits the 50th Hunger Games, or Second Quarter Quell, set 24 years before Katniss Everdeen volunteers in District 12. Daisy Ridley’s 53% Rotten Tomatoes Bomb Tops HBO Max Streaming Charts
Image
Ever wonder what would happen if Bruce Willis’ John McClane in Die Hard were a female? You’d get a Daisy Ridley film, which would have very mediocre ratings and an embarrassingly low box office record.

Cleaner is the name of the movie, and it is what you think it is. John McClane is Joey in Cleaner, and is portrayed by Daisy Ridley. Although there are some differences between Die Hard and the recently released 2025 film, the base storylines are very similar. The good news (for Ridley) is that despite low box office records, the film is doing very good on streaming charts on HBO.

Daisy Ridley’s Cleaner is dominating the streaming charts

Daisy Ridley’s Joey, is a former soldier turned window cleaner who learned to climb walls to escape her father’s abusive behavior in her childhood. She also has an autistic brother who is crusading online...

'Lilo & Stitch' Surpasses Two Superhero Films to Become One of the 100 Highest-Grossing Movies of All Time
Image
Disney’s 2025 Lilo & Stitch is being heralded by many as the production company's best live-action remake yet, especially in the shadow of the frankly disastrous Snow White. Following its most recent fourth weekend in theaters, the movie still keeps the $1 billion mark in its sights, with a further $15.5 million domestically. This takes Lilo & Stitch to a huge global total of $825 million to date, split between a domestic haul of $366 million and $459 million from overseas markets.

Still falling just short of A Minecraft Movie, with that target set to be overcome in the near future, Lilo & Stitch has now reached its most impressive milestone yet, officially becoming one of the 100 highest-grossing movies of all time. Currently at #99, it would be two superhero flicks that unsurprisingly stood in Lilo & Stitch's way, with 2017's Wonder Woman and Sam Raimi's 2002 Spider-Man no longer proving worthy competition as the Disney remake breaks into the coveted list.

Disney’s Most Hated Live-Action Movie Overtakes ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ in Streaming Charts
Image
Y’all are going to be angry about this one. However, it was the audience who put this widely hated Disney live-action film at the top of the streaming charts in the USA.

Overtaking Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford’s MCU film, Captain America: Brave New World, it seems that negative marketing and overt hating of a film can also have good results! The widely hated Disney live-action film made the rounds for being Disney’s lowest point in their filmography. And yet, it is dominating the streaming charts.

Snow White tops Disney+ popularity list, surpassing MCU’s Captain America

It was back on Valentine’s Day in 2025 that couples went to theaters to see the Red Hulk and Anthony Mackie’s Captain America fight it out on the big screens. Although the movie didn’t achieve the success that other MCU movies were accustomed to, it was still a decent flick.

Box Office Update: How to Train Your Dragon to have a franchise-best opening
Jay Baruchel in How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (2019)
Live-action remakes of animated classics are proving to be on a hot streak this summer. While everyone thought the failure of Disney’s Snow White spelled doom for this tactic, Lilo & Stitch became a huge breakout hit on Memorial Day weekend, and it’s been supplanted at the top of the heap by How to Train Your Dragon. Deadline reports that the movie is on par for an $80 million opening, which is about $20 million than we predicted earlier his week. Notably, the live-action reboot is poised to have a much larger opening than any other film in the franchise. Currently, the highest opener of the series is How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, which opened with $55 million. Oddly, despite having the highest opening of the series, it was the lowest-grossing instalment, earning a domestic total of $160 million compared to the $177 million the second film earned and the $217 million the original scored.

4 dramas worth looking forward to on Netflix in the final half of 2025
Image
Goodness, Netflix is about to deliver the drama. Sure, the streaming giant has already brought us a bunch of drama and thrillers in the first half of 2025, but Netflix has scheduled even more for the rest of the year.

Will all the following be released? They are supposed to be. One already has a release date, but the rest do not.

They were part of the slate of series that Netflix announced would be coming out at some point this year, but the lack of firm release dates should make us nervous. Surely, Netflix would not lie to us, right? At least, these potentially great shows are arriving at some point.

4 dramas Netflix fans will not want to miss that are scheduled in the second half of 2025The Beast in Me (sometime in 2025)

The plot follows a successful author, played by Claire Danes, who has suffered a personal tragedy and removes herself from public life.

After Flopping in Theaters, Rachel Zegler's Snow White Finally Finds Its Audience on Streaming
Image
Update: 2025/06/13 17:09 Est By Monica Coman

The story has been updated to reflect the first full day on Disney+

In 2025, Disney released its live-action remake of Snow White to huge controversy. The film didn't do well in theaters and was review-bombed, but it's finally finding its audience.

After a long streak of live-action remakes of its popular animations, Rachel Zegler's Snow White finally got its turn. The live-action adaptation had a troubled development with several delays, controversies, and backlash, which eventually led to it becoming a box office failure. However, immediately after its release on streaming, Snow White became a streaming hit, FlixPatrol reveals.

Snow White premiered on Disney+ internationally on June 11. One day later, the live-action adaptation already entered the charts, debuting at No. 4. Considering the new version's extreme backlash, the interest in watching the live-action remake is obvious, despite the film's poor theatrical run.

Tormund Actor Kristofer Hivju Was Disappointed More With ‘Game of Thrones’ Fans After Tragic Season Finale
Image
The world came to know Kristofer Hivju as Tormund Giantsbane when he appeared in the first episode of season 3 in the iconic HBO TV show, Game of Thrones. Eating chicken and being jovial, Jon Snow accidentally thought that Kristofer Hivju was Mance Rayder until the real Mance Rayder had a talk with him.

Still, Hivju’s charisma and his portrayal as Tormund Giantsbane received all the love from the world. However, he was disappointed in his fans after the tragic season finale, not because the show was bad, but because he didn’t get what he wanted.

Kristofer Hivju was disappointed in his fans

Even Hivju agreed that when the character of Tormund Giantsbane was introduced in Game of Thrones, he was an antagonist. Not trusting Jon Snow (of course) in the beginning, Tormund really opened up when he was faced with a situation of life and death, and Snow was his only support.

Snow White Hits Disney+ Tomorrow After Finishing Box Office Run As One Of Disney's Lowest Grossing Remakes
Image
Lilo and Stitch has proven that there's still plenty of life in Disney's live-action remakes of animated classics, but the recent reimagining of one of the Mouse House's most popular and well-known tales was a rare misfire.

Snow White arrives on Disney+ tomorrow, and has officially finished up its box office run as one of Disney's worst performing live-action remakes.

The movie, which stars Rachel Zegler in the title role and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen, ended its theatrical run with $205.5 million worldwide. Only 2016's Pete's Dragon ($143.7 million and 2020's Mulan ($69.9 million) - which, to be fair, debuted during Covid with a simultaneous Premier Access streaming release - have fared worse.

Snow White received mostly negative reviews (40% on Rotten Tomatoes), but was plagued by controversy (whether it was warranted or not is up for debate) in the build-up to its release, which probably didn't help.

Be it Zegler's comments about the animated original,...

The Hunting Wives thriller series moves from Starz to Netflix (and it's coming very soon!)
Image
Well, well, well. In a surprise move that no one saw coming, The Hunting Wives, an upcoming thriller series that was originally set for release on Starz, has officially found a new home at Netflix. The streaming giant has acquired the U.S. rights to the series and has set its release date for the summer.

Fortunately, we won't have to wait too long to see it either. Netflix will be releasing the new show on its platform on Monday, July 21, 2025. The first season will consist of eight episodes, and it is expected that all eight will drop at once. Since Netflix typically releases new content on its platform at 12:00 a.m. Pt/3:00 a.m. Et on their release dates, it'll most likely release The Hunting Wives at this same time on July 21. But again, this is just speculation. An official release time has not been revealed.

The Live-Action 'How To Train Your Dragon' Remake Soars With Critics on Rotten Tomatoes — But There's a Big Catch
Image
The dragons are back — and this time, they’re very real. The live-action remake of How to Train Your Dragon is finally flying into theaters this summer, and the critics’ verdict is in. According to Rotten Tomatoes, the 2025 reboot has debuted with a solid 82% Tomatometer score, making it a certified hit by most standards. But there’s one little hiccup: it’s the lowest-rated installment in the How to Train Your Dragon franchise. To be clear, 82% is still very good. Most filmmakers would sell a leg (or wing) for it. But when you’re following in the footsteps of a series that consistently soared in the high 90s, expectations are a little higher. Here's how the series stacks up:

The original animated How to Train Your Dragon, directed by Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois, was a surprise critical darling and remains one of DreamWorks’ most celebrated efforts. With its soaring flight sequences,...
