Trent Olsen was born on 6th May 1984 in Sherman Oaks, California, to David Olsen and Jarnette Jones. He's the older brother of twin actresses Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen and also of Elizabeth Olsen.

He has played himself in a few of his sisters' video series, like You're Invited to Mary-Kate & Ashley's Sleepover Party (1995).
