Elizbeth Hendrickson Announces New Chapter On Social Media

Hendrickson hopped on Instagram, uploading 7 photos, with the first one revealing the time, show number, and air date of the very first Y&r episode she is directing.

The others were various photos of her “working as a director”, including a heartfelt moment between her and Eric Braeden (Victor Newman). In a caption, she writes that after 24 years in front of the camera, she is now stepping behind it.

Hendrickson goes on to say that she’s spent the past 18 months “… shadowing, observing & absorbing — not knowing if it would ever turn into something more.

There were hurdles, but I kept showing up, paying attention, and fell in love with the process.

Chloe has been missed on The Young and the Restless. We love seeing her friendship with Chelsea and her relationship with Kevin. Elizabeth Hendrickson is used to being in front of the cameras. But, for the first time ever, she’s stepping behind the camera and calling the shots.

In a new Instagram post, Hendrickson shared a series of photos. The first was a shot of the clapperboard that read, “The Young and the Restless. The detective’s dramatic exit came as no surprise. Conner Floyd is replacing Billy Flynn as Chad Dimera on Days of Our Lives.

The actor posted a farewell video online, after his final episode aired. “Thank you to Josh Griffith (Y&r’s head writer and executive producer) and the rest of the producers and CBS for giving me this amazing opportunity to be a part of such an iconic show. Huge thank you to fans who tuned in and showed love. You guys are awesome!

The Young and the Restlessactor Jermaine Rivers has confirmed his exit from the show in an emotional Instagram post. The actor joined the soap opera back in February 2025 as Damian Kane - or rather, as the real Damian Kane. The character had actually been around for weeks prior, but played by Nathan Owens, as Holden, who was pretending to be Damian Kane.

Since then, Damian has been reconnecting with his family, building a relationship with both his mother and his newly-discovered half-brother. It even looked as though there might be a happy ending for Damian, after he fell for Lily. However, happily ever afters are rare in the daytime world, and Damian met his end when a thrown knife stabbed him in the back.

Following the dramatic episode, Rivers posted a video to his social media, confirming that this is the end for Damian:

Days of Our Lives has a new Chad Dimera! Conner Floyd, who is still airing as Chance on The Young and the Restless, begins filming as Chad on June 23rd, according to Deadline. Billy Flynn, the current Chad, just started airing on Y&R as Cane Ashby on June 19th, after it was discovered that his original character, Aristotle Dumas, was actually Cane.

In a new interview with Variety, Flynn told the outlet, “I love acting, and I love stories, and I never imagined I would just tell one story for the rest of my life,” referring to his long-run in Salem. “The fact that I’ve been here 10 years and it’s gone by in the blink of an eye is amazing to me. I wasn’t a baby when I started here; I was 30. I didn’t start acting until I was 26. So it’s gone by really fast. I think with this character, I’ve done everything I can with it. I’m looking forward to doing something new.
