Exclusive: Heading into Efm Andrew Gallagher has picked up international rights to Kimberly Levin’s Us thriller.

The Cantuckee Pictures film marks Levin’s feature directorial debut that earned positive reviews after Monterey media release it in North America last summer.

Joanne Kelly stars in Runoff as a farm-dweller who faces a tough decision as she fights to save her family from a peril that threatens their land.

Neal Huff, Tom Bower, Alex Shaffer, and Kivlighan De Montebello and round out the key cast.

Gallagher brokered the deal with Kurt Pitzer of Cantuckee Pictures.

Flickerfest unveils competitive program
Flickerfest has revealed the 53 films selected to screen as part of the festival's competitive program in its 25th anniversary year.

The films were chosen from more than 2300 entries.

This year.s official Australian Competition features 18 world premieres, six Australian premieres and 10 Nsw premieres..

Twenty-one female directors are represented across the official Australian competition.

The best of the australian films will be shown over seven sessions.

They will be competing for prizes across all areas of the filmmaking craft including the Academy Accredited Virgin Australia Award for Best Australian Film, the Canon Award for Best Direction and the Yoram Gross Award for Best Australian Animation.

Flickerfest is Australia.s only Academy accredited and BAFTA recognised festvial and runs from Friday January 8-17. .

Festival director Bronwyn Kidd, steering her 19th festival, said she was thrilled that Flickerfest was once again a platform for the Australia's most exciting, creative and talented short filmmakers.

Afm: Curator Films boards 'Antonia.'
Exclusive: The Los Angeles-based sales company has licensed rights excluding Italy from Italy’s Frenesy Film to the drama and will commence sales at the Afm before heading to Ventana Sur in Argentina in December.

Ferdinando Cito Filomarino directed Antonia. (pictured), which chronicles the sexual awakening of a young female artist in Fascist Italy and earned the director a special mention in Karlovy Vary this year.

Faliro House and Luca Guadagnino’s Frenesy Film produced Antonia and the Italian Ministry Of Culture co-financed. Andrew Gallagher of Curator Films negotiated the deal with Stella Savino and Marco Morabito for Frenesy.

Stand Clear of the Closing Doors (2013)
Exclusive: Sam Fleischner’s drama will screen in the prestigious annual round-up by Mexico’s Cineteca Nacional as it emerged that sales agent Curator Films has secured a Mexican distribution deal.

Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta will join Fleischner to present Stand Clear Of The Closing Doors at a press screening on July 7 prior to the start of the Foro de la Cineteca Nacional.

The showcase will take in roughly 20 cinemas in Mexico City from July 10-August 7 before Alfhaville rolls it out on DVD, VOD and cultural channels.

Andrew Gallagher of Los Angeles-based international sales agent Curator Films brokered the distribution deal with Alfonso Lopez of Alfhaville. Alejandro Grande of Cineteca Nacional was also involved in negotiations.

Gallagher recently licensed rights to Sundance Channel in France and Benelux.

Stand Clear Of The Closing Doors tells of an autistic Mexican boy who embarks on an 11-day adventure on the New York City subway.

Creation Entertainment's Salute to Supernatural Hits Dallas, TX
Dallas, TX Supernatural fans were given a big treat when the Winchester Brothers rolled into town for a Creation Entertainment's convention celebrating the hit television phenomenon. Not only did Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester) and Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) show up to thrill thousands of attendees at the Westin Park Central Hotel, but other actors from the series participated in the three-day event as well. Misha Collins (Castiel), Mark Sheppard (Crowley), Richard Speight Jr. (The Trickster and Gabriel), Matt Cohen (Young John Winchester), Sebastian Roche (Balthazar), Chad Lindberg (Ash), and Gabriel Tigerman (Andrew Gallagher) all greeted enthusiasts of the show by participating in autograph signings, Karaoke parties, and question and answer panels.

Dallas / Ft. Worth, TX Metroplex devotees of the TV series "Supernatural" have reason to celebrate September 21st through the 23rd. The Winchester Brothers are coming home to Texas for a visit. Texas natives Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester) and Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) headline Creation Entertainment's Salute to "Supernatural" this weekend at the Westin Park Central Hotel (12720 Merit Dr., Dallas, TX 75251).

Joining Padalecki and Ackles in the festivities are fellow "Supernatural" stars Misha Collins (Castiel), Mark Sheppard (Crowley), Richard Speight Jr. (The Trickster and Gabriel), Matt Cohen (Young John Winchester), Sebastian Roche (Balthazar), Chad Lindberg (Ash), and Gabriel Tigerman (Andrew Gallagher). They will be meeting fans, signing autographs, and participating in question and answer panels.

2011 Boston Underground Film Festival: Official Lineup
It’s lucky 13 for the Boston Underground Film Festival as they celebrate their raucous 13th annual edition this year. Opening with the much buzzed about bloody feature film Hobo With a Shotgun starring Rutger Hauer and directed by Jason Eisener, the fest then barrels on for eight wild nights and days from March 24-31.

While there’s plenty of underground goodness from the U.S.A., this year Buff feels like it’s a much more international affair with several sick features from around the globe. There’s gory horror and quirky black comedy from Japan in the guise of Yoshihiro Nishimura’s Helldriver and Sion Sono’s Cold Fish; the Argentinian freak-out Phase7 by Nicolas Goldbart; David Blyth’s Wound is a psychological thriller from New Zealand; and Mark Hartley’s Machete Maidens Unleashed! is a look at Philippine exploitation cinema from the ’70s.
