Movie Trailer for Robin Hardy's The Wicker Tree
Hey gang! The same team that developed the first original disturbing film the The Wicker Man has developed a sequel to that film called The Wicker Tree, and we have a new full trailer to share with you. On a side note, this movie is in no way connected to the Nicolas Cage remake.

The sequel was directed by the first films original director Robin Hardy, and this is his first film in 24 years. The movie is based on Hardy's 2007 novel. Of course it stars the great Christopher Lee! The cast also incudes Joan Collins, Graham McTavish, Paul Wesley, Susie Amy, Morgan James, and Natalie Parnes.

The movie looks like it could be just as jacked up as the first movie.

Here's the synosis for the film:

Gospel singer Beth and her cowboy friend Steve, two virgins promised to each other, set off from Texas to enlighten the Scottish heathens in the ways of Christ.

Joe Absolom, Ian McNeice, and Jessica Ransom in Doc Martin (2004)
Absolom misses out on '71 Degrees' final
Joe Absolom, Ian McNeice, and Jessica Ransom in Doc Martin (2004)
Joe Absolom was booted off 71 Degrees North last night at the semi-final stage of the reality show. The TV actor was given the chop by his rivals Gavin Henson and Susie Amy, who both voted for him at the final elimination. Amy and Marcus Patrick only picked up one vote each and will join Henson, who won this week's immunity challenge, in the three-way final next week. Absolom was generally regarded as the biggest threat to rugby star Henson and the Welsh sportsman admitted that his vote was tactical rather than based on talent. Henson revealed: "I voted for Joe because he was the strongest one here I think. It's given me an easier ride in the final." Footballers' Wives actress Amy commented: "I voted for Joe tonight because he's had more ups and downs than everyone else and I doubt he wants to be here." Speaking (more)...

Diarmuid Gavin leaves '71 Degrees North'
Diarmuid Gavin has become the third celebrity to be voted off 71 Degrees North. The TV gardener picked up four votes from his fellow competitors, narrowly losing out to Michelle Mone, who collected three. The only other celebrity to get a vote was Susie Amy, who received one. Speaking afterwards, Gavin said: "It's been the most exhilarating of adventures and I'm disappointed - I would have liked one more week. "Immersing myself in the nature of this incredible country has been a total joy. I wouldn't have done anything differently, and I couldn't have enjoyed it any more than I did." Gavin's teammates Mone, Andrew Castle and Joe Absolom lost this week's task to build a snow cave, which resulted in medics (more)...

Susie Amy: "I adore Andrew Castle"
Susie Amy has said that she adores fellow 71 Degrees North contestant Andrew Castle. The ex-Footballers' Wives actress said that she bonded well with the other stars on the ITV1 reality show. Amy told Metro: "I'd worked with Marcus Patrick before so he was a familiar face, Gavin Henson was the strongest so everyone wanted to be on his team and I adore Andrew Castle. "I thought of him as a wholesome family man but he's got the most fantastic dirty sense of humour. Even when he was being negative he brought the mood up (more)...

Original Wicker Man Team Developing sequel called The Wicker Tree
The creative team that brought us the original insane film The Wicker Man is developing a sequel to the cult movie called The Wicker Tree. This is in no way connected to the crappy forgettable remake that was done with Nicolas Cage.

The remake will be directed by the original director Robin Hardy, and it will star the great Christopher Lee! It also stars Joan Collins, Graham McTavish, Paul Wesley, Susie Amy, Morgan James, and Natalie Parnes.

Young Christians Beth and Steve, a gospel singer and her cowboy boyfriend, leave Texas to preach door-to-door in Scotland. When, after initial abuse, they are welcomed with joy and elation to Tressock, the border fiefdom of Sir Lachlan Morrison, they assume their hosts simply want to hear more about Jesus. How innocent and wrong they are.

The original Wicker Man was a pretty jacked up movie, and I loved it! I can't wait...

Susie Amy: 'Extreme dieting is silly'
Footballers' Wives (2002)
Former Footballers' Wives star Susie Amy has said that she thinks extreme dieting is silly. The actress, who also appeared briefly in Coronation Street, told Rte that she is "fairly relaxed" with her body. "I do know people in my industry who put a lot of pressure on themselves. More about diet than fitness, funnily enough," she said. "I've never heard of someone overly working out, I usually hear of people not eating carbs. I've never done that, I've never done any sort of extreme dieting. "It's silly pushing yourself, everyone's got their own body shape and you can do the best with that or the worst with that." Amy added that she does not understand why people strive to look like celebrities. "There's no point in somebody looking at Cheryl (more)...

Splitting From Fiance, Charlotte Church Jealous Over His Closeness to Susie Amy
Susie Amy has been entangled in the break-up of Charlotte Church and her rugby player fiance Gavin Henson. The Sun has recently brought up the news that 24-year-old Charlotte has become jealous about the friendship between the injured Wales star Gavin and the "Footballers' Wives" actress.

"Charlotte thought Gavin and Susie had become close," a friend claimed. "She wanted him at home with her while she launched her TV comeback on Over The Rainbow - and him being away put a strain on their relationship." Gavin became friend with Susie when the two were in Norway for four weeks to film celebrity reality show "71 Degrees North".

Despite the claim, Susie's mother denied there is link between the actress who dated "Hotel Babylon" star Max Beesley and the 28-year-old athlete. Reinforcing the statement from Susie's mother, spokesman for the "Coronation Street" actress added, "She has a boyfriend and is very happy.

Excl: Hardy's Wicker Follow-Up Renamed
In a wise move, and to perhaps drum up familiarity with his 1973 classic The Wicker Man , writer-director Robin Hardy has opted to change the title of his latest effort from Cowboys for Christ to The Wicker Tree . If you recall, this production has had a few false starts, but as we reported last week ( here ) cameras are finally rolling in Scotland. A companion piece to The Wicker Man , The Wicker Tree stars Christopher Lee, Ed Speleers, Susie Amy, Henry Garrett, Keith Warwick and Morgan James.

Is Cowboys For Christ Underway?
Robin Hardy has been talking about Cowboys For Christ, a "spiritual sequel" to his 1973 pagan horror musical classic The Wicker Man, for years. He published the story as a novel in 2007, but hasn't directed a film since that mind-boggling 70s original. Until now.Funding fell through last year, but Shock Till You Drop are reporting that some shooting has now taken place in Texas, and is currently underway in Scotland. Christopher Lee is apparently on hand, along with Ed Speleers (Eragon) and Susie Amy (Lesbian Vampire Killers). Joan Collins was originally involved, but it's unclear whether or not she's still aboard.Plot-wise, we're very much back in Wicker Man territory, as two Texan Christians attempt to introduce God to a remote Scottish border town.  "There is a tradition among 10 or 15 little towns on the borders in Scotland," Hardy told The Guardian in 2007, "where once a year, usually around the summer solstice,...

Hardy's Cowboys for Christ Rides On!
It's been over a year since we've heard anything about Cowboys for Christ . Reports in early 2008 said director Robin Hardy's "companion piece" to his 1973 chiller The Wicker Man had lost its funding shortly before shooting was to begin in Scotland with Christopher Lee and Joan Collins leading the cast. Things are picking back up for Hardy. Sources tell us a bit of shooting has already taken place in Texas and Hardy is currently in production in Scotland! Now, according to the IMDb, the film still stars Lee, as Sir Lachlan Morrison, and includes Ed Speleers ( Eragon ), Susie Amy ( Lesbian Vampire Killers ), Henry Garrett, Keith Warwick and Morgan James. James and Speleers play Beth and Steve, respectively, Texas Christians on a mission to spread the word of the...
