LA Skins: George Rr Martin, Wes Studi and More Among Festival Lineup

The 2024 LA Skins Fest has announced its 13-section program, which includes a lineup of narrative, documentary, and animated films.

Among the films screening are “Kenji,” a short film by Billy Luther. The film follows the life and work of Japanese photographer, Kenji Kawano, explored through his extraordinary five decade long journey documenting the WWII Navajo Code Talkers through his lens.

Wes Studi will star in “The Great Cherokee Grandmother.” Anthony Sneed’s film tells the story of a pleasant date between a man of Cherokee heritage and a Caucasian woman goes downhill when the woman flagrantly fixates on the very bane of Cherokee peoples’ existence: the Cherokee Grandmother syndrome.

“Mary Margaret Road-Grader” is produced by George R.R Martin and is based on Howard Waldrop’s 1976 sci-fi short story. The film is adapted by write rand director Steven Paul Judd.

In Defence Of Assassin’s Creed III
To get things started, dear reader; I would like to say that I write this article with frustration. I’m tired. Tired of scouring through websites, day after day, seeing criticism for a certain game that hit shelves in October – Assassin’s Creed 3. Each time I see one of these ‘critics’, they start with the exact same sentence each time; “I had high hopes for this game, but…”

Why? Why does this continue to happen? I hope here, in this page, I can somehow put an end to this unfair, and just wrong, slating of a game that should be commended for what it has done, relighting the flame of a series close to death, and showing us that the current generation of gaming will never expand without some sort of evolution. Simply put, this article is about the mistreatment of a phenomenal game.

Episode Recap: CSI: Miami - 9.13: "Last Stand"
At a media press conference publicizing a raid on a drug lab owned by Mala Noche, State's Attorney Chandler (David Starzyk) is gunned down by the gang in a drive-by shooting. Jennifer Swanson (Gloria Votsis) who thinks she's Jessica Angell (Emmanuelle Vaugier) of CSI:ny, really can't they find any other name, attempts to save Chandler. Horatio (David Caruso) knows his family. The shooter is shot and is barely alive, leaving Horatio with a warning that this is just the beginning. Horatio: "I agree." One of the detectives steps into the Cs and Ryan (Jonathan Togo) notices a shard of tinted glass, belonging to the driver, Walter (Omar Miller) thinks. Back at the lab, this glass is examined by Calleigh (Emily Procter) who finds the glass is photochromatic, as the glass which was tinted is now clear. The glasses are regular ones and not sunglasses.
