Aysulu Onaran

Aysulu Onaran is a director and writer. She made her directorial debut with Balaban, a coming-of-age drama about two HIV-positive teenage girls and their journey to freedom. That year, she has initiated "My Body My Choice" educational program supporting girls and women facing gender abuse. The film premiered at the Mix Milano film festival in Italy in 2022. After Balaban Aysulu filmed her second feature "Rebirth Island", a captivating spy thriller, about biological weapons and the Cold War. The "Rebirth island" was theatrically released nationwide on 20th June 2024. She is in pre-production of her third feature "GAIGER" presently.
