Katie Price is said to be in a state of panic, after many of her celebrity contacts have turned down invitations to her second wedding to Alex Reid.

The former glamour model secretly married the cage fighter in February and plans to hold a nuptial blessing for her family and friends next month. However she is said to be considering paying famous guests to show their faces at the ceremony, after most of her contacts refused to attend.

The News Of The World reports that Michelle Heaton, Danielle Lloyd and glamour model Emma B will be at the event but the more famous Sarah Harding, Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby,Steven Gerrard and Davina McCall said no.

The former glamour model married Alex Reid in Las Vegas four months ago, but plans to hold a nuptial blessing in July. The event was supposed to be star studded, but sources say that the mum of three has resorted to Facebook in a bid to interest her celebrity contacts.

An insider told Now magazine that the 32-year-old has sent private messages to Davina McCall and former Sugababe Keisha Buchanan through the social networking site. Katie is also sad to be having difficulty recruiting bridesmaids for the day.

A source said: “Katie realises she’s not as popular as she used to be.

“She’s lined up her sister Sophie, daughter Princess, Emma B and maybe Michelle Heaton as bridesmaids but they’re not the big names she had when she married Peter Andre.
