Reacher Season 3 Just Broke a Major Prime Video Record
Image
Prime Video subscribers can't get enough of Alan Ritchson's Jack Reacher. Amazon has just revealed that Season 3 of Reacher debuted to its largest audience yet.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Reacher Season 3 brought in 54.6 million viewers worldwide in the 19 days after its Feb. 20 premiere, according to internal figures from Amazon. This is reportedly a slight uptick from Season 2 over the same amount of time, meaning that Reacher Season 3 is now the biggest returning series in Prime Video's history. With nine months left in 2025, it remains to be seen if Reacher Season 3 will rank as the #1 title on the streamer across all movies and series worldwide for the year, a title that Season 2 received for 2023.

Reacher is based on the Jack Reacher book series by Lee Child, which was first adapted as a film duology by Paramount Pictures with Tom Cruise as the eponymous drifter. After plans for a third film fell apart,...

Reacher Season 3 Episode 5 Delivers A Tragic And Shocking Death
Image
Season 3 of "Reacher" has been a lot of fun so far. Alan Ritchson's massive ex-military hero has been skulking around a mansion trying to solve the disappearance of a DEA informant in the Jack Reacher-as-sleuth story we didn't know we needed. The hulking henchman Paulie, who somehow makes Reacher himself look small, is one of the show's best villains yet, and will surely make for one heck of a final showdown when he and Reacher inevitably face off. We've also been treated to one of the funniest action scenes in "Reacher" yet, which also happens to be one of Ritchson's finest moments, and the episodes haven't been short of the kind of ridiculous over-the-top action we've come to expect from Amazon's hugely-popular series.

But season 3 of "Reacher" hasn't been without its share of tragic moments, either. In episode 4, we learned a lot more about Reacher's military past in an...

‘Reacher’ Season 3 Premiere Recap And Ending Explained: Who Is Julius McCabe?
Image
Our favorite nomadic good Samaritan is back as the third season of Amazon Prime’s hit thriller, Reacher, has released with a three-episode premiere—setting the titular hero on a new journey as he prepares to settle past scores. Much like the previous two seasons, Reacher’s latest misadventure is also personal in nature, as we find him in pursuit of an old enemy from his military police days when he gets himself entangled in an ongoing investigation. Season 3 is an adaptation of Lee Child’s “Persuader,” the seventh novel in the Reacher series—a brilliant admixture of suspense, drama, and action. Judging by the premiere, it seems Reacher has returned to familiar lone wolf territory, but at the same time, given the nature of his current mission, it is hinted that the big guy will find himself out of element as well. Overall, the early signs are promising, and...

'Reacher' Season 3 Cast & Character Guide
Image
The third season of Reacher recently arrived on Prime Video, and once again trouble has found the show’s titular character. This season follows Reacher as he infiltrates the nefarious rug business of a man named Zachary Beck. Acting undercover as a man on the run, Reacher is tasked with locating a missing DEA informant while he works to uncover how his old foe Quinn is mixed up with Beck’s business.

As is the case with every season of Reacher, its cast of characters always changes. While a few characters have made various appearances here and there throughout the series, the show’s core characters each season are always different. 'A World Outside of Reacher': Neagley Actor Offers Exciting Update on Spinoff as Filming Begins
Image
The first expansion in Prime Video's Reacher franchise has begun filming. Maria Sten, who will headline the spinoff as Reacher's ally Frances Neagley, has revealed what fans can expect from the upcoming Prime Video show.

While Sten couldn't reveal exact plot details about Neagley, the actor told Screen Time (via Echo) that she was "so excited with the material. It's very much Neagley in her world and I guess you do see her in Chicago when you meet her in Season 3, so in that way, we establish she has a world outside of Reacher when she isn't going off on crazy missions to help him. Or when I'm not enlisting him to find our friends. I think you do find her in her own universe and I think that maybe is what will help us tie into this show."

Reacher: Season 3
Image
Streaming on: Prime Video

Episodes Viewed: 8 of 8

When you click play on Reacher, you know exactly what you’re going to get. Brought to life by Alan Ritchson, Lee Child’s crimefighting giant has outsmarted the rich and powerful and cracked the skulls of thugs and would-be assassins across two seasons, sometimes aided and obstructed by whatever law enforcement happen to be in his orbit. This third volume offers more of the same simple thrills, even if too much of this season coasts on the fundamentals, suffering from some unimaginative direction not doing enough to elevate it.

But those core components are as likeable as ever. Based on the seventh Reacher novel, Persuader, this new batch of episodes starts off in medias res with Ritchson’s titular hero working undercover for the DEA to rescue an informant while also looking to settle a years-old score. While the set-up is new for this series,...

Reacher Season 3 TV Review: Alan Ritchson is back and kicking ass as the wandering hero
Image
Plot: Based on Lee Child’s novel Persuader, in the third season of the action-packed series, Reacher hurtles into the dark heart of a vast criminal enterprise when trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out. There he finds a world of secrecy and violence—and confronts some unfinished business from his own past.

Review: The success of Prime Video’s Reacher has hinged on the charisma of star Alan Ritchson. While Tom Cruise’s appeal helped make the two feature films based on Lee Child’s long-running series modest hits at the box office, Ritchson’s physical presence and embodiment of Jack Reacher made it an instant hit when the first season premiered back in 2022. While the initial run of Reacher, based on the first novel Killing Floor, did not blow me away, I found the series hit its stride with the second season in 2023. Based on the eleventh novel,...

'It's Going to be the Best Season [Yet]': Reacher's Alan Ritchson Confirms Revival of His Cult Classic Comedy Series at Amazon
Image
The Blue Mountain State revival series is seemingly a go at Amazon Prime Video. Alan Ritchson recently confirmed that another season of the cult classic comedy series is in the works for the streaming service.

Speaking with the media on Sunday, Feb. 16, during NASCAR's Daytona 500, in which he served as an honorary pace car driver, Ritchson answered questions about his acting career, including whether Blue Mountain State's Thad Castle or Reacher's Jack Reacher was more fun to play. It was during this answer that the actor shared that Amazon would be the home of the Blue Mountain State revival series. "We're actually setting it up with Amazon," he revealed (via Instagram). "I think it's going to be the best season of Bms we've ever had. It is so damn funny, and it's perfect, you know, the way that we resurrect the characters and then sort of bring them...

Reacher Arm Wrestles Someone Twice His Size in New Season 3 Clip
Image
A new clip from Reacher Season 3 has been released. The new season premieres on Prime Video exactly one week from today, on Feb. 20.

The clip, which sees Alan Ritchson's Jack Reacher challenging Olivier Richters' Paulie to a Bavarian arm wrestling match, was released on X. Much of the marketing for the third season of Reacher has been centered around Richters' addition to the cast. Nicknamed The Dutch Giant, Richters is a bodybuilder-turned-actor who is filling the role of Paulie in Season 3, who was described in the season's source material, the 2003 novel Persuader, as "a very big guy" who "was at least six inches taller than [Reacher] and probably ten inches wider across the shoulders," as well as "two hundred pounds" heavier. Check out the Reacher Season 3 clip below.

‘Reacher’ Season 3 Trailer: Somehow Alan Ritchson Meets an Even Larger Man
Image
Jack Reacher is back, and this time around he’s set on hunting a foe he thought was dead. That’s what the first trailer for Season 3 of “Reacher” revolves around.

The trailer starts with Reacher (Alan Ritchson) being recruited for another mission, this time one involving the owner of a rug import business and the DEA. But this mission has a wrinkle: Quinn (Brian Tee), a former military officer who committed a horrific crime, is involved.

“I thought I killed him years ago,” Reacher says, starring down at a picture of Quinn.

As Kansas’ “Carry on Wayward Son” plays, Reacher executes his plan to become an undercover informant for the shady business. That puts him in direct opposition with Quinn’s hulking No. 2, Paulie (Olivier Richters), the first character this show has introduced that is larger than Reacher. The rest of the trailer jumps between shootouts, quips, double crossings...

How Much Bigger Olivier Richters Paulie Is Compared To Alan Ritchsons Reacher
Image
Reacher season 3 has cast Dutch bodybuilder Olivier Richters as Paulie. Richters is seven feet and two inches tall, nearly a foot taller than star Alan Ritchson. Paulie will pose a very credible threat to Jack Reacher in the new season.

Reacher's new character gives Alan Ritchson a run for his money in the height department. The Prime Video series is based on the book series by Lee Child, which follows a former military police major turned drifter as he roams the country helping various people in need. Although the character in the novels is six feet and five inches tall, when they were first adapted to live-action in the 2012 movie Jack Reacher and its 2014 sequel Never Go Back, the five-foot-seven Tom Cruise was cast in the title role.

When the Prime Video show debuted in 2022, one of its most notable changes was returning the character to his original towering height...

'The American James Bond': Alan Ritchson Compares Reacher to 007
Image
The name is Reacher, Jack Reacher.

In a conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Reacher star Alan Ritchson spoke about his series' ongoing success with viewers and how much Reacher's adventures compare to the exploits of a certain fictional British secret agent. "It's funny, I kind of feel like Reacher is the American James Bond, and I've never had more fun playing a character," he admitted, describing himself as a fan of "those larger-than-life, over-the-top action thrillers and spy movies and the heists that are smart and ahead of the audience. That's really great, but I feel like Bond, to me personally — people are going to hate me for saying this — I love Bond, but I feel like it's all a little misogynistic and predictable at this point."

Adapting Lee Child's Persuader Gives Reacher Season 3 A Major Casting Headache
Image
Reacher season 3 faces casting challenges due to Paulie's unique appearance, being nearly 7 feet tall and more muscle-bound than Reacher. Season 1 of Reacher found success by offering a small-scale conspiracy in a small town, unlike other spy shows with massive scales. Reacher season 2 fell short of season 1's reception by adding too many players and a bigger conspiracy, but season 3 returns to simplicity.

While it is good that Reacher season 3 is adapting Lee Child's Persuader, the book choice creates some major casting challenges for the Amazon show. Reacher season 1 turned out to be way more successful on Prime Video than anticipated because it brought something new to the spy thriller genre. When most spy-centric shows focused on creating high-stakes dramas with massive scales, Reacher season 1 unfolded in a small town, focusing on a small-scale but gripping conspiracy.

Despite having a talented roster of cast members, Reacher season 2 could not match...
