Biography

Devika Kornbacher (aka Devika K) was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is named after a jazz song by Lonnie Liston Smith and the Cosmic Echoes. Her mother and father raised her to love music, movies, and every form of art. After attending McKinley High School, Devika moved to Houston and obtained an engineering degree from the University of Houston.

Devika started performing when she was 5 years old and has always had a passion for the performing arts. A true Renaissance woman, while designing offshore platforms and eventually obtaining a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, Devika kept alive her artistic center by performing in and writing plays. She is known for her roles as Susan Bible in Make-Up (2020) and Mrs. Gbade in Re-Fresh (2020).
