Joe Kicak is a CSA-winning director, writer, and producer, known for his work as the Director/ Writer/ Co-Creator of the TV series Detention Adventure (2019) (CBC/HBO Max). The series was nominated for 15 Canadian Screen Awards, winning Best Youth Series. Joe has been nominated for two WGC awards, a Banff Rockie Award, and won the Kidscreen award for Best Series.
Joe directed the film Must Kill Karl (2017) (Austin Film Festival), which won Best Comedy at HollyShorts Film Festival and was featured on Short of the Week and Directors Notes, as well as the short films Frigid (2016) and Distilled Love (2011).
