- My name is John Phillips born April 6th 1978. I was raised in a small suburban town of Chicago called Elmwood Park, Illinois. I've always been interested in acting since I was young. I got my break in acting as being a background actor in all Chicago based films and shows like Chicago Med, Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Empire, Shameless, the Chi, Utopia, Station 11, Run and numerous short films. I had my first speaking role in 2018. I played the role of FBI Agent on the amazon prime show Utopia. Since then I made the transition into acting with speaking roles. I'm a retired disabled police officer from the town of Elmwood Park. I studied in college Criminal Justice. I went to the police academy in October of 2001. I obtained my Illinois State issued certification for Police. In 2012 I sustained an Injury that resulted me in retiring. That's really when I started as an actor. My family and friends are in complete support of my new career.
