- Loesje Hamel was born on October 21, 1938 in Andijk, North Holland, Netherlands. She was an actress, known for Zo is het toevallig ook nog eens een keer (1963), Façade (1965) and She's Like a Rainbow (1969). She was married to Michael Clyde Whelden and Jules Hamel. She died on April 18, 1974 in Heemstede, North Holland, Netherlands.

- After short relationships with Jan Cremer and Wally Tax, among others, she married the American Michael C. Whelden in 1968. The couple withdrew to Andijk, led a hippie existence and made long journeys from there to the Near and Far East.
- She participated in two programs of Ramses Shaffy: Shaffy Chantant and Shaffy Wrong (Verkeerd). In that last program she sang Released by Bob Dylan.
- After training as a nurse, she became a celebrated fashion model in the Netherlands and abroad in the 1960s.
- Under the pseudonym Magillicutty she took part as a singer in 1971 in a free jazz concert in the German Donaueschingen , with, among others, Don Cherry, Willem Breuker and Han Bennink.
- In addition to all the important Dutch couturiers (Holthaus, Heymans, Govers), Loes Hamel was also a fashion model for Pierre Cardin in Paris.
