Arash Avin is a contemporary Iranian singer, songwriter, dancer, actor, humanitarian, and painter. He holds a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Tehran University of Art. Arash Avin was born in Tehran, Iran, in a time where there was an abundance of growing musicians and performers. Unfortunately, a revolution hit his native country, which forbade the production and performance of most styles of music. Despite this forced silence, Arash Avin managed to keep his passion for music alive. When the ban on music eased, Arash Avin released one of the first post-revolution albums, "Do Saye", collaborating with songwriter and composer Hamid Panahi (which, due to federal regulations, had to be soft-tempo and more melodic than dance. After a while, Arash Avin released a second, more upbeat album, named "Safar", collaborating with songwriter, composer, and arranger Behnam Abtahi .(Although dance music was now legal, it was still forbidden to dance in public. Nevertheless, Safar soared high on the charts, where it became one of the top albums of the year. Arash Avin then relocated to America to further explore his career in the vibrant Los Angeles music community. He was the lead male vocalist in one of LA's top world music groups. He is currently working on his future releases and collaborating with Persian music's finest. Career As a singer, he has performed with other artists such as Googoosh, Helen, Hamed Behdad, Babak Amini, Sogand, Hamid Panahi, and Schubert Avakian. Arash is one of the selected few to go on stage and perform with Iranian pop diva Googoosh at her concerts. After an earthquake in Kermanshah, Arash released the moving song and video "LaaLaaee" (Lullaby) which he dedicated to all the victims and survivors of the devastating earthquake. In 2020, Arash Avin was selected to represent Iran for a musical project "I'M STANDING WITH YOU", a global collaboration featuring 170 musicians from all around the world. "I'M STANDING WITH YOU" is an Oscar-nominated song written by the iconic songwriter Diane Warren, in support of the United Nations Foundation's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund (#covid19fund) for the World Health Organization. The arrangement of the song is by Emmy nominated TV/Film composer Sharon Farber and directed by award-winning director Gev Miron. This project is featuring great voices from around the world. As a Sufi dancer, Arash performs modern Sufi whirling known as Persian Sama on many stages and shows. Arash sings and performs at many festivals, galas, and fund raising events of the Farhang Foundation, which works hard to celebrate and promote Iranian art and culture. Along with many other TV shows, Arash Avin made a cameo appearance on the play "Shaer e Noghree" (directed by Houshang Touzie, as himself, singing memorable songs. In January 2017, Arash released a duet with Babak Amini called "To Ro Mikham". In March 2021, Arash covered the single, "Age Ye Rooz", a song from famous Iranian singer-songwriter Faramarz Aslani, featuring Sogand and Babak Amini.
