Even with so many streaming services competing with TV shows and films on a monthly and yearly basis, there is plenty for every streamer, but it depends on what a specific streamer wants to cover. For example, Netflix usually creates some original series, while others like Peacock and AMC+ provide tons of content from third-party licensors.
Paramount+ is also one such streaming service that focuses on introducing shows that are less popular around the world but are increasingly valued in Western countries. Following a spectacular schedule in September that included the releases of Star Trek: Lower Decks season four, Football Must Go On, and many more titles, the streaming service is gearing up to offer even more intriguing series in the coming month. With that in mind, here are the best TV series coming to Paramount+ in October 2023.

Damon Wayans Jr. is entering the cage.
The actor will host CBS’ adaptation of game show Raid The Cage with Jeannie Mai Jenkins co-hosting. The series, first revealed by Deadline, launches on Friday, October 13 at 9pm.
It is the latest CBS show for Wayans Jr., who will also exec produce the series, after his comedy Poppa’s House, which he stars in alongside his father, Damon Wayans Sr., was picked up to series.
Mai Jenkins previously co-hosted The Real, has hosted the 71st Miss Universe competition and worked on shows such as ABC’s Holey Moley and America’s Test Kitchen: The Next Generation.
Raid The Cage, which is based on an Israeli format, features two teams of two facing off to grab-and-go with prizes from the Cage before their time runs out and the doors close. Correctly answering questions adds seconds to the clock, giving teammates more time to grab prizes from the Cage.

The order is the latest high-profile unscripted order, after Fox bought Dutch format The Floor, and comes as reality producers start to see a pick-up in big-ticket alternative orders. We hear that the show had been in development for several months and wasn’t a direct result of the writers strike.
