The match between John Cena and Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2025 was a hot topic, featuring a spectacle of a street fight, marked by Brock Lesnar’s return. However, fans were visibly upset with how poorly the entire match was booked, making the challenger destined to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. Worse than that, Rhodes made the Goat’s finisher look like a joke.

During the match, Cena executed a total of 8 Attitude Adjustments to Cody Rhodes, including one on the announcer’s table, on the ramp, and an Avalanche AA, but to everyone’s surprise, he kicked out. The whole match looked like a joke because this is the same move that has defeated the likes of Aj Styles, Randy Orton, Dwayne Johnson, Big Show, and many more.

Morgan hit the Oblivion on Vaquer, but Nile tried to steal the victory, leading to the two fighting on the outside.

In the high-octane and adrenaline-fueled drama, the wrestler takes all the credit for entertaining the fans. However, in professional wrestling, the most challenging job would perhaps be that of the announcer, who can make a drastic change to the feel of a wrestler and the live show.

Many tried to leave their mark on the microphone; they all failed in front of one name, Samantha Irvin. Though she has parted ways with WWE, her tenure in the company was legendary and praiseworthy. Every match felt like a high-stakes one, which added a layer of depth, eventually making her a beloved figure despite being an announcer.
