Doug MacDougall

D. David (Doug) MacDougall is a former educator and school administrator who hails originally from Hamilton, Ontario. A veteran of 30+ years in regional theatre in the Toronto area, career highlights include nominated work as Stage/Music Director (Robin Hood, Sleeping Beauty) and more recently, acting in the TV/Film industry. Doug has also served as Technical Director for PlayZoomers (Boston, MA) for just over 2.5 years now, supporting over 70 live online productions and counting. He not only serves as a member of the Educational Advisory Board for F.L.O.W. (Future Leaders of the World) based in Miami, FL but has also acted as film editor and associate producer for a number of their recent film projects. A true multihyphenate, Doug is not only an actor but also a storyteller, screenwriter, director, producer, production designer, film editor, singer and DJ/Karaoke artist. He wrote a number of YouTube webseries - "Sleeping Beauty: Every Rose has her Thorne", Cinderella: If the Shoe Fits", and "Lost & Found: a Snow White Canadian Christmas Tale." Plans are in the works to create more webseries based on fairytales including "Once Upon A Game Show", "Fairytale Therapy" and "Law & Order FTU: Fairytale Unit." A musical comedy reimagining of the Robin Hood legend entitled "Robin the Hood - a Wild West Adventure" debuted as a 8-part webseries in January 2024. Doug is hard at work creating a murder mystery which will premiere in December as part of annual online Christmas fundraiser (which has raised over $7,000 for foodbanks in North America over the last four seasons).
