Marcelo Converti is an Argentinian actor and writer. During his career worked under directors such as: Michel Gondry (Oscar winner for "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"); Harald Zwart (Karate Kid); Nick Love and Daniel Ecija. And he shared a cast with Martha Plimpton (The Goonies), Jason Fleming (Benjamin Button), Mauricio Ochmann, Javier Cámara and Angela Molina, among others.
He took his first steps on stage at an early age, at the age of 7 he was already starring in plays at the school where he studies in Buenos Aires. His love for the performing arts would develop further with his studies in social communication and audiovisual, where he wrote and participated in several short films
Upon moving to Spain, he would find in the world of advertising, and fashion, a career and profession that would lead him to live and work in cities such as Milán, London, Paris, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Cape Town, Barcelona, Istanbul, etc. where he starred in countless commercials and advertising campaigns for prominent brands.
As his career rose, he continued his acting training with methods such as Stella Adler's Modern Method Acting and Jacques Leqoc. He also conducted numerous workshops and courses with: Mel Churcher, Luci Lenox and Andres Lima, among others.
It would be in 2019 his jump to fiction as part of the main cast of "The Barrier" a dystopian series that would arrive on Netflix in 2020. That same year he would be seen in the series "By Ana Milán" a Spanish comedy where he would participate in all the episodes of the two seasons of the series, giving life to one of the best friends of the protagonist.
His international leap would be in 2023 with "A Town Called Malice", the ambitious Sky production where we see him as Mayor César Cabrol, one of the main characters of this series set in 1980.
In 2024 he was the co-star of a musical theatre comedy and part of the main cast of "Papá Soltero" a remake of the successful Mexican TV series from the '90s.
He currently resides in Madrid and is writing and producing a film, which will be his debut as a director; and also taking his first steps as a playwright in a play, of his own authorship, where he will be one of the leading actors.
