Biography

Hugo is an award winning Screenwriter / Director from London, England. He left college at a young age to pursue his passion in film and photography; directing his first commercial at the age of 16.

Back in 2018, Hugo wrote and directed his first ever short film, "Soul Forest". Since its release, the film has amassed over 20 awards and nominations.

Hugo later went on to write and direct his debut feature film, "Makeup", which received 5 distribution offers before its international release on the 27th of June 2023.

Around the time that "Makeup" released, Hugo began writing his most recent feature film, "Happy as Larry", a dark comedy set on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Soon after the film's completion, it was selected by the Oscar-Qualifying Dallas International Film Festival for its world premiere. The film went on to win the Audience Award for Best International Feature.
