Next year will mark the fifth anniversary of when readers were first introduced to the monsters (and monster slayers) of Archer's Peak in Something is Killing the Children, and just before the end of this year, James Tynion IV and Werther Dell’Edera, are inviting readers to step back into the Slaughterverse with Book of Butcher #1. For more than half a century, it's been home to paranormal phenomena and eerie occurrences, and this September, the rural homestead known as "Skinwalker Ranch" will be explored like never before in the new Boom! Studios comic book series Hunt for the Skinwalker. An adaptation of the non-fiction book of the same name, Hunt for the Skinwalker will debut in comic shops on September 6th, and we have an exclusive look at unsettling preview pages from the first issue of the new series from writer Zac Thompson, artist Valeria Burzo, colorist Jason Wordie, and letterer Joe Sabino!

Last year, Goosebumps and Fear Street creator R.L. Stine teamed up with Boom Studios for a four-issue limited comic book series called Stuff of Nightmares: The Monster Makers – and the Tpb collection of those issues can be purchased at This Link. This year, Stine and Boom are bringing the horror again with a self-contained comic book called Stuff of Nightmares: Red Murder, which is set to reach store shelves on September 27th. If you’ve seen Terrifier 2 – now playing in theaters on the road to Halloween! – you’ve probably found yourself singing the “Clown Cafe” song in your head at least a few times. Part of an extended nightmare sequence experienced by Lauren Lavera‘s character Sienna, “Clown Cafe” is a catchy jingle that’s sung in Damien Leone‘s slasher sequel by actor Leah Voysey.

In celebration of the box office success of Terrifier 2, Voysey took to YouTube this week to perform a live cover of “The Clown Cafe,” which you can listen to via the video embed below!

The weather was beautiful in St. Louis today, but the tranquil was shattered when terrified St. Louisans spotted the bloody killer drone from the new horror film The Drone hovering about our city! It may have killed a few people (we’re not sure). We Are Movie Geeks was able to get these shots of the drone as it took its deadly aim! The Remote Has No Control!

We spotted The killer drone at The Arch, St. Louis University, Union Station, The Art Museum, The History Museum, The Bevo Mill, The Ferris Wheel, The Fox Theater, Grandel Square, Anheuser Buch Brewery, Art Hill and in front of the St. Louis Statue. We’re not sure where it went from there, but we’re pretty sure death and carnage followed!

Though the Critters films have never been popular with the critics, the franchise’s four-movie run from 1986 to 1992 apparently left enough of an impression on horror fans for the series to be resurrected decades later in the form of an upcoming TV show titled Critters: A New Binge.

With a title so inescapably reminiscent of the 1990 film Gremlins 2: The New Batch, it’s almost as though Critters is embracing its reputation as a Gremlins rip-off franchise, though going by the show’s first trailer, A New Binge is leaning further into campy comedy than the Critters’ mogwai cousins ever did. Complete with goofy, gory death scenes, over-the-top acting and low-budget FX, the 1-minute preview should provide all the footage you need to decide whether or not the series is for you.

The classic Critters horror film franchise is returning in the form of a TV series that’s set for streaming service Shudder.

Critters may be but one of several campy horror franchises from the 1980s to – akin to the soon-to-be-animated Gremlins – feature diminutive multiplying mini-monsters, but the imagery of its eponymous alien invaders – resembling demonic bipedal versions of Star Trek Tribbles with shark teeth and T-Rex arms – make them especially memorable, even if the poster image of the toilet monster from Ghoulies was more memorable in its ability to make tense experiences out of nature’s call for a generation. Regardless, Critters is getting a long-overdue return.

After more than 25 years since their last official film appearance, the Crites from Critters are coming back, this time as a series for Verizon's go90 streaming service.

Announced at the Television Critics Association's (TCA) 2018 Winter Press Tour, Critters: A New Binge is one of two new projects that have been given a series order by Verizon's go90, with Warner Bros. Television Group's Blue Ribbon Content digital studio on board to create the series.
