Exclusive: It has been two years since its first reviews and festival play, but Spinning Gold, the music biopic about Casablanca Records and founder Neil Bogart, has secured U.S. digital distribution via Synkronized.

Written and directed by Timothy Scott Bogart, the movie charts the rags-to-riches story of celebrated 1970s indie label Casablanca Records, which helped launch legendary artists including Kiss, Donna Summer, George Clinton’s Parliament, The Isley Brothers, Gladys Knight, Bill Withers and The Village People.

Starring in the movie are Jeremy Jordan, Michelle Monaghan, Lyndsy Fonseca, Jason Isaacs, Dan Fogler, James Wolk, and Sebastian Maniscalco as Georgio Moroder, as well as music artists such as Jason Derulo as Ron Isley, Wiz Khalifa as George Clinton, Ledisi as Gladys Knight, Pink Sweats as Bill Withers, and Casey Likes as Gene Simmons.

“There are no words to express my feelings and the love I have for my brother. Our family will miss him. But I know he’s in a better place,” said Ronald Isley in a statement.

Rudolph first started singing in church with his brothers Ronald and O’Kelly Isley. He was just a teenager when the group’s hit song, “Shout,” debuted in the 1950s.

The brothers then released “Twist and Shout” in the 1960s, which the Beatles used as the closing song on their debut album.

It’s that time of year again! The 2022 BET Soul Train Awards have arrived and this year’s show featured spectacular performances with some of music’s most talented stars and heartfelt acceptance speeches from the night’s big winners.

Hosted by comedian, writer and “Black-ish” star Deon Cole, Saturday’s show featured Beyoncé and Mary J. Blige leading this year’s nominees with a total count of seven nods apiece, while Ari Lennox trailed close behind with six nominations. The trio was followed by Lizzo and Chris Brown, who earned five noms each.

While Queen Bey came out on top with the night’s big wins — earning awards for Album of The Year, Song of the Year and Best Collaboration with Ronald Isley & The Isley Brothers — she wasn’t the only one to come out victorious! Check out the full list of winners below, with the victors in bold.

Beyoncé earned three awards at Saturday’s Soul Train Awards, including Song of the Year for “Break My Soul” and Album of the Year for “Renaissance.”

The artist, who was not present for the BET-televised ceremony broadcast live from Las Vegas, also shared the Best Collaboration prize for “Make Me Say It Again, Girl” with Ronald Isley and the Isley Brothers.

Just a little over a week after she released "Renaissance," Beyoncé has announced a new collaboration: she's joining forces with soul legends Ronald Isley and The Isley Brothers to release a reimagining of their 1975 track "Make Me Say It Again Girl (Part 1 & 2)," titled "Make Me Say It Again, Girl."

The Queen is dead. Love live the Queen. Soul superstar Aretha Franklin is being laid to rest this morning in Detroit, and you can follow her funeral service live above. The private event will feature performances by Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Jennifer Hudson and many others over the course of five hours or more.

The service for the Queen of Soul, who died August 16 at 76, is being held at the Motor City’s Greater Grace Temple, the same church where Franklin sang at civil rights icon Rosa Parks’ funeral in 2005.

A minute-by-minute schedule for the service is below.

The lineup of performers also includes Faith Hill, Ronald Isley, Yolanda Adams, Jennifer Holliday, Fantasia, a number of gospel singers and Franklin’s son Edward.

Speaking of livestreams, another is available from the Greater Grace Temple, the Motor CIty church that’s staging the invite-only “homegoing service.” It’s available at greatergrace.org. Franklin sang during Rosa Parks’ funeral at Greater Grace in 2005.

The Associated Press will livestream her funeral service Friday starting at 10 Am Et, with news outlets around the globe expected to pick up the coverage. ABC News Live, ABC News’ 24-hour news channel, also will have live coverage beginning at 10 Am.

Aretha Franklin’s funeral will be available to view both online and on television. The event will be livestreamed via The Associated Press, and broadcast in full on several TV stations in Detroit, Michigan, including Wdiv-tv, Wjbk-tv and Wxyz-tv. Both Fox News and CNN will air live portions of the service, Detroit Free Press reports.

Aretha Franklin’s “Celebration of Life” will feature a huge array of performers and speakers, a representative for the singer’s family announced today.

Stevie Wonder, Faith Hill, Ronald Isley, Chaka Khan, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, Yolanda Adams, and Pastor Shirley Caesar are among the artists expected to perform in tribute to the late Queen of Soul at her Celebration of Life, while former President Bill Clinton, former Attorney General Eric Holder, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, the Rev. Al Sharpton, legendary singer Smokey Robinson, actress Cicely Tyson and Sony Music Chief Creative Officer Clive Davis are among the speakers.

HollywoodNews.com: Building off the overall disappointing nominations, Grammy voters managed to find some good to reward with awards but there were just as many undeserving champs. And, among the performances, there was the same mixed bag of results.

The Good

Eminem’s mediocre “Recovery” led among nominees but, fortunately, he only won two Grammys last night and Arcade Fire bested him for the night’s top prize, Album of the Year.

Most pundits, including myself, predicted either Justin Bieber or Drake and, to a lesser extent, Mumford and Sons or Florence and the Machine, would win Best New Artist. So it was pleasantly surprising to watch underdog Esperanza Spalding, a very talented singer, songwriter, composer, bassist/jazz musician, take the gold instead.

The weak R&B field produced strong winners. John Legend and the Roots’ critically-acclaimed “Wake Up!” album won three Grammys while “American Idol” album...
