Francisco Sobrado

Francisco Sobrado was born in Bucharest, Romania, by Chilean parents who fled their country after the military takeover in the 70s. Francisco grew up in Stockholm, Sweden, and developed an early passion for movies and theatre.
At age 19 he was accepted into The Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg and studied acting for 4 years. After graduation he soon found work in Stockholm City Theatre where he starred in more than 25 different productions, including A street car named desire, Enron, Hamlet, The Cut and The Misson.
He also worked at Uppsala City Theatre where he played Cliff Bradshaw in Cabaret as well as playing the title role in Othello at the Swedish National Touring Theatre.
Francisco is also a prolific TV and feature film actor and has starred in Oskyldigt Dömd and Gåsmamman. In 2018 he played the lead the feature film The Imaginary State which was shot in 5 different languages.
