‘Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra’ Game Unveils Epic Captain America and Black Panther Team-Up, Plus New Black Panther Reveal!
Image
“Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra” is an upcoming action-adventure video game set in World War II in Occupied Paris. The story follows Captain America (Steve Rogers) and Black Panther (Azzuri), the king of Wakanda, as they team up to stop the Hydra terrorist group.

The game is being developed by Skydance New Media and published by Plaion, with a release date set for 2025. It’s based on the 2010 Marvel Comics series “Captain America / Black Panther: Flags of Our Fathers.”

Amy Hennig, the writer and producer of the game, recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly to share more details about the setting and the historic team-up featured in the game.

Amy Hennig explained that the setting of the game gave them a lot of creative freedom. It allowed them to show a younger Steve Rogers, who is still figuring things out, instead of the more experienced Captain America seen in the movies.

Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra Producer Teases Setting And Villains In Captain America/Black Panther Video Game
Image
Skydance and Marvel Games' Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is a World War II-set adventure revolving around newly created versions of Captain America and Black Panther.

The title, overseen by the Uncharted franchise's Amy Hennig, could be the most cinematic superhero video game to date. The reveal trailer which dropped earlier this year pointed to that being the case, though we are still waiting to see some gameplay footage.

Ahead of the game's planned 2025 release, Entertainment Weekly caught up with Hennig who said, "It led us to do a bunch of interesting things, one of which was to not only tell a story with a young Steve Rogers who's still trying to find his feet, as opposed to the more seasoned guy that we've seen in a lot of the films. It also let us introduce a new Black Panther of 1943."

"It led us to tap into all the things that I love,...

“You’re not going to believe how good it looks”: The Walking Dead’s Khary Payton Quashes 1 Rumor about Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra
Image
Well, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is definitely on the way and is set to change Marvel’s bad luck in games other than the Spider-Man brand. The game is being developed by Skydance New Media and is inspired by the 2010 comic book limited series Captain America/Black Panther: Flags of Our Fathers.

In addition to its interesting story, the game will offer a movie-like graphical experience with Unreal Engine 5. Some even believe that the shared in-game scenes are not real. Fortunately, we have a statement from an actor who is part of the game’s cast, debunking these rumors.

‘CSI: Vegas’: What Didn’t Happen For The Team In The Unplanned Series Finale
Image
Spoiler Alert! This story contains details from the series finale of CSI: Vegas on CBS.

Like what happened to So Help Me Todd, CSI: Vegas didn’t get a chance to wrap up its three-season run on CBS with any grand gestures or heartfelt goodbyes.

The procedural, which was a followup to the 2000 CSI series, was canceled in April so there was no time to throw together a satisfying ending. So anyone who wanted to see where Maxine’s (Paula Newsome) relationship with Dean was going will have to live with disappointment.

At least there was some positives in the episode dubbed “Tunnel Vision”: Max survived her kidnapping by a Saudi big bad (Faran Tahir) who stole intelligence from Truman Thomas’ secret lab. Chris (Jay Lee) regained consciousness after he was exposed to a nerve agent. Penny (Sarah Gilman) set a wedding date with Jack (Joel Johnstone), and Josh...

Skydance New Media’s World War II Marvel game has finally got a title: Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. Not only that, it has also got a release window and a first trailer. The game is based on the Marvel superhero characters, Captain America, Black Panther, and two other characters.

The characters of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra

Skydance and Marvel Games announced the game back in 2021 (via Deadline) and officially teased in 2022 (via Game Informer). The trailer of the game is rather promising as it sees Captain America and Black Panther in a face-off. This is not the first time the two characters have shared the screen in the Marvel Universe, but this is certainly the first time that they will come together like this.

CSI: Vegas Season 3: Cast, Release Date, and Everything Else You Need to Know
This may be the season that CSI: Vegas finally stands on its own two feet.

In its first two seasons, this hybrid has faced a difficult challenge. It's not a revival of the popular series, which ran for 15 seasons on CBS. It isn't a reboot, with new characters repopulating an old concept.

Instead, in its first two seasons, CSI: Vegas has featured a couple of legacy characters to draw in viewers of the original series.

In CSI: Vegas Season 1, power couple Gil Grissom (William Peterson) and Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) returned to clear the lab's reputation and former lab rat David Hodges (Wallace Langham) from a well-crafted frame.

Meanwhile, seemingly in the background, the lab's new criminologists solved the day-to-day cases.

What Were the Highlights of CSI: Vegas Season 2?

The second season struck a better balance between new and old. It almost had to.

The return of Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) was well handled.

Rachel Brosnahan on the Legacy ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ Leaves Behind: “Stories Being Told About Women, by Women”
Image
[This story includes major spoilers for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel series finale, “Four Minutes.]

Miriam “Midge” Maisel officially became the “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” in the series finale titled “Four Minutes.”

The final episode of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel saw Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) take the biggest risk of her career when she finally got the chance to make an appearance on The Gordon Ford Show — against Gordon Ford’s (Reid Scott) wishes.

When Gordon’s wife, Hedy (Nina Arianda), forces the talk show host to put Midge on his show, he begrudgingly obliges and breaks his rule that employees can’t appear as guests on the show. But, instead of introducing her as a comic, he introduces her as the show’s “resident lady writer,” while the two sit on stools instead of the couch his guests usually sit on.

With four minutes left in the broadcast, Gordon cuts to commercial, much to Mike Carr’s (Jason Ralph) dismay.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season Premiere Review: Hello Goodbye
Rachel Brosnahan in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017)
She's back for one last kick at the can!

On The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 Episode 1, we get a series of heartfelt goodbyes and a glimpse at the future. It's a bittersweet beginning to the end of one of television's most delightful comedies.

Warning: This review contains spoilers for Episodes 1 - 3 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5.

The first episode is aptly titled because we "go forward" in time to 1981. Alexandra Socha is uncanny as the grown-up version of Midge's daughter, Esther.

She was so convincing that initially, I wondered if they had done visual effects or computer trickery on Rachel Brosnahan. Did Socha win a Midge Maisel impersonation contest? She's a marvel!

Poor Esther is neurotic and brilliant, which makes complete sense. We don't get to spend too much time with her here, but just enough to get an idea of how much Midge has affected her daughter.

CSI: Vegas (2021)
CSI: Vegas Season 2 Episode 1 Review: She's Gone
CSI: Vegas (2021)
Catherine Willows is back, and CSI: Vegas is the better for it.

CSI: Vegas Season 2 Episode 1 already marked another time of transition for this revival of the once-hit series.

William Peterson and Jorja Fox departed after one season, so Gil and Sara had to disappear.

Fortunately, despite her role on All Rise, Marg Helgenberger was amenable to a return to Las Vegas.

Let's face it. The revival can't yet stand on its own two feet. While the new team may appeal to fresh viewers, fans of the old series want to see the OGs they know and love.

Catherine was the favorite of many viewers. Gil was the aloof scientist; Catherine was the people person. She was the more accessible member of management.

There was a believable setup for Catherine's return.

The lab was short-handed after Gil and Sara's departures and Allie's absence for lengthy training in Los Angeles. Catherine...

Image
Where in the world are Sara Sidle and Gil Grissom when Season 2 of CSI: Vegas opens up? TVLine’s exclusive sneak peek at the new season has the answer to that question.

Though both Jorja Fox and William Petersen reprised their original CSI roles in Season 1, the latter had only signed on for that initial 10-episode run (but stayed on as an executive producer). Fox subsequently announced that she would not continue on either, explaining, “I personally just can’t split Sara and Grissom up again…. Wherever they go, they belong together.”

Image
Exclusive: Brandon Thomas Lee (The Hills: New Beginnings), Jackson Rathbone (Twilight) & Diane Gaeta (Adopt a Highway) will co-star opposite Chance Sanchez in his debut feature, Zero Road, which recently wrapped production.

Michael Zegen (‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’) on the evolution of Joel and Midge: ‘It’s time for both of them to branch out on their own’ [Exclusive Video Interview]
Image
“We’ve really kind of hit our stride,” says Michael Zegen of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” Season 3. He plays Joel Maisel in Amazon’s period comedy, and the newest season moves the character’s life into exciting new directions. Watch the exclusive video interview above.

Zegen looks forward to the challenge of each new script, admitting that he is constantly learning “who Joel really is. I find out little bits and pieces from episode to episode.” While the character may have started out as somewhat of an antagonist in the beginning of the series, creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino have charted a sympathetic path to redemption for Joel. Zegen acknowledges that this was probably always part of their plan, “that he was going to be this three dimensional character, rather than this one note villain.”

Meet ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s’ equally swell Mr. Maisel, actor Michael Zegen [Exclusive Video Interview]
Michael Zegen
“So many people ask about this,” says Michael Zegen, the actor who is Joel Maisel to Rachel Brosnahan’s Midge on “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.“ Amazon’s award-magnet comedy series is the reigning Emmy champ for comedy set in the late ’50s about an Upper West Side housewife who secretly does a stand-up act at night.

The “this” he is referring to is a scene that is found on Season 2’s 10th and final episode. No, it isn’t when a dejected Midge decides to sleep with her estranged husband one last time. Or when we see a flashback of their engagement that takes place in the middle of a busy Manhattan street. Instead, the sequence that got the show’s fans buzzing is a truly unique bit of sports-related choreography where he and fellow actor Joel Johnstone as his buddy work out their frustrations in a park in the...
