Paulina Treviño

Paulina was born in Mexico City. Through her childhood and adolescence, she practiced lots of dancing classes and sports, focusing especially on figure ice skating, winning several national competitions. She wanted to be a philosopher or psychologist but never thought about acting until acting knocked on her door.
In 2001 the crew and cast director of the film "In The Time of the Butterflies" (Showtime) went to her high school for scouting. They were missing an actress for one character so she decided to do some quick castings to some students they saw in her school from her. Paulina made her casting, she was called back and eventually got the part sharing Screen with Salma Hayek, Edward James Olmos, Mia Maestro, Demian Bichir, among others. She then decided what she really wanted was to be an actress.
She joined the National Theater Company in 2012, By now she has participated in more than twenty professional theater plays. Some of her most important teachers of her were Héctor Mendoza, Raúl Quintanilla, José Acosta, Glenys McQueen, and Ron Burrus.
In Television, we can't forget her participation in the whole three seasons of the TV Series "XY" of OnceTV productions, nominated as a Best TV Show on Montecarlo's TV awards in 2011
Nowadays, she has been experimenting with independent and artistic films, as in the short film "Los Pedazos del Tiempo" playing the leading role, which won best short film of the year at the 2020 International Author Film Festival and the Feature Film "Jardin de Luces".
We can see her performing in Televisa's production "Cuna de Lobos" on Amazon Prime. And soon in the Spin-off of the Tv-Series "Amarres" called "Alice" where Paulina performed the leading role for HBO.
Winner for "best-supporting actress" in the play "La Celestina" by the Association of Theater Critics and Journalists in 2021.
