Biography

Marc Alan Solomon is an American actor known for portraying complex and intense figures who are often authority figures and morally corrupt and not liked by other characters and often seen as "bad". In some ways, his characters are usually manipulative, egotistical, and conniving, but they always act in ways they think are "justifiable." The characters are frequently intense, such as a mysterious suspected killer in the woods in the dramatic horror "Run Rabbit," a dark and nefarious surgeon in "Too Close To the Sun," a mentally disturbed doctor in "Cramped," or a retired ex-con boxer with temper and substance abuse issues in "Heavyweight."

In his more recent work, including "The Picture," "Refrain," and "Living in Purpose," he has gone head-to-head as law enforcement with the antagonist, ultimately achieving his goal and saving the day-by bending the rules.

Although his story of being bitten by "the bug" is all too familiar, the route is not. After sneaking onto a movie set as a young kid, he always knew that he wanted to do something in the entertainment world. Taking a nontraditional route into the entertainment industry, he became a doctor in the alternative health field, specializing in holistic healing. While in school, he was reintroduced to the entertainment world through friends that ultimately led to Marc making the decision to become an actor. "It just felt like home when I made the decision."

Although being an actor, writer, director, doctor, and entrepreneur keeps him busy, when he has off-time he enjoys working out, scuba diving, the beach, peanut butter whiskey, and watching live baseball.
