Sebastian Siegel(I)

Sebastian Siegel is a British-American director, producer, author, businessman, and TEDx speaker. Siegel wrote, produced and directed the feature film, Grace and Grit, adapted from the true story by Ken Wilber. Grace and Grit premiered at The Chinese Theatre IMAX, and in the U.S. streams on Apple and Amazon. 51 episodes of his series "The Eight Questions" now streams on YouTube.

Grace and Grit has been one of the top trending true love story movies on Netflix in many Latin American territories. The Mexican Consulate honored the movie with a special screening at the Consulate to highlight the Latin values of commitment in art and storytelling which are prominent in the film. The movie opened to acclaimed reviews from a number of global luminaries and audiences despite being ahead of the curve for mainstream pop reviewers.

Siegel's father is Indian religions professor and acclaimed writer, Lee Siegel. His grandfather, Leonard Thompson, was an active opponent of apartheid, author, and professor of South African history at Yale. Sebastian was accepted to college at age fifteen to study theatre, and won the drama prize at Kent School.

Sebastian has vocalized appreciation for immersive Zen practice, rigorous exercise, authors Alan Watts, Ken Wilber, Dr. James Hollis, other philosophers and artists, and friend and mentor James Whitmore.
