Mert Kilic was born in 1998 in Turkey.
His love for theatre and cinema started at the early age of 6 when his mother took him to theatre and cinema every week.
During high-school studies, he moved to Istanbul, which is the biggest city in Turkey. He started training as an actor in Istanbul when he was 16. When he was 19, he went to Los Angeles to study Acting for Film. When he was 21, he went to Amsterdam and studied several acting approaches. He got his Bachelor's degree in "Media and Visual Arts" from Koc University in 2022.
Since the age of 18, he has been making his own short films and submitting them to film festivals around the world. His perspective on acting is enriched by this process, which provides the viewpoint of a director and writer. He made his first feature film debut with "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare" directed by Guy Ritchie.
Mert so far lived in the U.S., Spain, Netherlands. Except for his native language which is Turkish, he also speaks English, Spanish, and Italian.
