Lauren Ashton Baker
Lauren Ashton Baker is an actor, playwright, and dancer. Born in Northridge, California, her father's side of the family is American (from Pennsylvania) with English and Irish roots, and her mother is a first-generation American, as Lauren's maternal grandparents immigrated to New York City from Colombia and Ecuador.

At the age of three, Lauren started ballet and danced competitively until high school. Between 2005 and 2009, Lauren worked as a child actor with studios such as Nickelodeon and Warner Brothers. Before her freshman year of high school, her family moved from Los Angeles, California, to Dallas, Texas. During her teen years, she participated in competitive theater, a pre-professional ballet company, and earned recognition in various writing contests and film festivals.

Lauren moved to New York City for a year when she received an acting scholarship to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, but she later transferred to the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). She graduated in 2019 with a BFA in Acting. As an actor, Lauren has worked with renowned directors such as Scarlett Kim (Oregon Shakespeare Festival), Asher Hartman (Gawdafful National Theater), Gina Belafonte, and Roger Guenevere Smith.

Since graduating from CalArts, Lauren has written several plays that have premiered in Hollywood and the U.K. She has also worked for Walt Disney Imagineering as a writer. In 2022, Lauren wrote the play Terrible Lizard and played the role of Max. She also joined the sketch comedy group Several Headed Beast, where she writes scripts and acts in projects that can be found on YouTube. In 2024, The Sting, (a short film Lauren wrote and acted in with Several Headed Beast) will be released.
