- Thaddeus Newman is a Black and Filipino actor based in Los Angeles, originally from Seattle, Washington. He has been acting since childhood but began his professional career after moving to Los Angeles. Since then, he has worked on various projects, ranging from student films to independent films featured in the festival circuit. Recently, Thaddeus starred in "My Brother and Me" a short film directed by Ryan Deforeest, which was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for "Outstanding Live Action Short Film". He can also be seen playing the lead role of Morello in a film titled, "Black Metal" directed by Michael Hyon Johnson. The film premiered at the Denver Film Festival and won the Grand Jury Prize at the San Jose International Film Festival.
Thaddeus was the lead actor in "Reframe", a film directed by Film Independent/Tribeca alum director, Michael Yuchen Lei. The film had its world premiere at Nantucket Film Festival garnering positive reviews. He can also be seen in Season 3 of Brat TV's "Crown Lake" as Rhys on Youtube/Amazon Prime. Additionally, he has appeared in commercials for Meta, Starry Lemon Lime, and most recently the fall campaign for Jansport.
As an artist, Thaddeus' goal is to create art that deeply resonates with people, offering them an escape from reality, even if just for a little while.
