Married at First Sight is now in its 18th season, and the show has produced less than a dozen successful marriages.
The unique marital experiment first aired in 2014, and over the years, the experts have matched 74 couples.
Unfortunately, the series has an extremely low success rate, and the current season won’t do much to increase that number.
Of all the couples that have tied the knot on the show, only 11 are still married today.
Season 18’s Camille Parsons and Thomas McDonald might bring that number to 12, but we’ll have to wait a little longer to confirm.
In the meantime, we’re shedding light on the couples that broke the mold and found their happily ever after on Mafs.

When Jasmine McGriff and Will Guess signed up for Season 8 of Married at First Sight they were confident the experts could find their perfect match, but did things work out in their favor?
The hopeful Philadelphia singles joined Luke Cuccurullo and Kate Sisk, Keith Dewar, and Kristine Killingsworth, Aj Volmoeller, and Stephanie Sersen in their quest for love.
Will was a 37-year-old financial analyst raised in a modern family with his mom and stepdad, but he also had a great father in his life.
At the time, he was last in his group of friends who were still single, and he was ready emotionally and financially to get married and start a family.
Jasmine McGriff was a 29-year-old Philadelphia native, who was searching for her Barack Obama but wasn’t having any luck. She wanted a happily ever after story like her parents and was hopeful she would find it on Mafs.

Married at First Sight doesn’t have the best track record for successful matches, but occasionally one couple beats the odds.
Let’s give the Season 8 experts–Pastor Calvin Roberson, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, and Dr. Jessica Griffin, a little bit of credit for having two successful matches by the end of the season.
Kristine Killingsworth and Keith Dewar are among the success stories, along with another couple that’s still going strong, Aj Vollmoeller with Stephanie Sersen.
The other couples from that season were Will Guess and Jasmine McGriff, and Luke Cuccurullo and Kate Sisk. Sadly, the latter two chose to get divorced on Decision Day.
As for Keith and Kristine, they had an interesting journey during the eight-week experiment.
At the time, Keith was a 30-year-old dialysis technician seeking a partner who was his equal, supportive, and willing to compromise during difficult times.
Kristine was a 29-year-old real estate...

Every now and then, the Married at First Sight experts get it right, and that rare moment occurred in Season 8 when they matched Aj Vollmoeller with Stephanie Sersen.
The Philadelphia singles admired their parents’ decades-long marriages and wanted the same for themselves. So Aj and Stephanie already had that in common when they signed up to marry a stranger.
The other couples in Season 8 included Will Guess and Jasmine McGriff, Luke Cuccurullo and Kate Sisk, and Keith Dewar and Kristine Killingsworth.
The experts scored a 50-percent success rate that year, with two couples opting for divorce and two choosing to stay married – Aj and Stephanie being one of them.
Aj had a successful career as the president and CEO of a staffing firm, and he was ready to settle down and find a wife to share in his success.
Stephanie was also at the point in life where she wanted...

Alyssa Ellman and Chris Collette were among the most disastrous couples to be matched on Married at First Sight. Now that Alyssa's season is in the past, alumni and fans criticized her for how she treated Chris. Experts have matched dozens of couples on the Lifetime series since 2014, with only a handful of Mafs marriages surviving in 2023. While some couples make it clear that they aren't going to last to Decision Day, Alyssa and Chris were one of the fastest divorces to occur in Mafs history.
Although Alyssa and Chris shed some tears and shared a few laughs, once they met at the altar, their marriage was over almost as soon as it began. Alyssa wasn't attracted to Chris and avoided him at every opportunity on their honeymoon, including sitting apart on the plane ride and the bus to their hotel. When they were together, Alyssa was unafraid of insulting her new husband,...

Lifetime's hit reality series Married at First Sight is currently airing its sixteenth season of pairing couples and marrying them at the altar, sight unseen. Mafs has tried to mimic 90 Day Fiancé in recent years, by upping the drama, rather than finding genuine relationships. However, some couples do go the distance. The cameras are still rolling on the Nashville cast, but the dust has settled on the Philadelphia-based couples from season 8.
Married at First Sight season 8 premiered in early 2019, introducing viewers to four couples from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania: Luke Cuccurrollo and Kate Sisk, Keith Dewar and Kristine Killingsworth, Will Guess and Jasmine McGriff, and Aj Vollmoeller and Stephanie Sersen. That season, they brought on one of the series' most prominent villains. There was a surprising divorce, along with some happy endings. In 2023, only two Mafs season 8 couples are still together.

Married at First Sight season 15 premiered in 2022, and it's time to discuss the series' filming location and timeframe. That installment showcased some changes, including where the couples filmed, and the experts who had a hand in matching them. Since 2014, Mafs has filmed dozens of unconventional marriages, featuring individuals who never met before walking down the aisle. Whether each season's couples share similar personality traits and goals, or are opposites who might mesh well together, it's hard to say how each duo will fare throughout the eight-week experience. Ultimately, every Mafs marriage is put to the test on Decision Day, when individuals must decide whether they'll remain together, or get divorced.
While some of the newer Mafs seasons have been criticized due to casting choices, the series has grown exponentially since the first season. For example, seasons 1 and 2 were filmed in New York City and the northern New Jersey area, and focused on three couples.

As Season 15 of Married at First Sight continues, many of the show’s past participants are sharing their thoughts on the new couples.
Keith Dewar and Kristine Killingsworth are the latest alums who are revealing who they are concerned about and who they believe still have a shot at salvaging their relationship.
The duo were stars of Season 8 which took place in Philadelphia. The season was the first time the show increased the number of couples from three to four.
Keith and Kristine initially struggled in their marriage. They had common disagreements about finances, intimacy, and where they wanted to live.
The couple also struggled with managing the very different schedules their jobs required of them. However, they found enough commonality within each other, and decided to continue working on their relationship.
