Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, and Denzel Curry are among the big names in the rap industry who have paid tribute to Coolio following news of his death.

The US rapper, known for his 1995 hit “Gangsta’s Paradise”, died on Wednesday (28 September).

Coolio’s management firm, Trinity Artists International, confirmed the news of his death to The Independent.

“We are saddened by the loss of our dear friend and client, Coolio, who passed away this afternoon,” they said in a statement. “He touched the world with the gift of his talent and will be missed profoundly.

“Thank you to everyone worldwide who has listened to his music and to everyone who has been reaching out regarding his passing. Please have Coolio’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.”

Soon after the news broke out, many colleagues and fans started paying tribute to the late artist.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment gave Fango the first look at three pictures from Boogeyman 3; check ’em out below. The latest in the Ghost House Pictures franchise hits DVD January 20; we previously reported the specs here.

Directed by Gary (Spiders) Jones from a script by Boogeyman 2 scribe Brian Sieve, the new sequel stars Erin Cahill as a college student whose roommates commit suicide, and who discovers that the title creature is responsible for these and other demises among the student body (like the splashy death by washing machine see below). Gary (Spiders) Jones directed this sequel from a script by Brian Sieve (who also penned the second in the series), set in a dorm where a female student believes that a series of strange deaths—including the suicides of her roommates—are being caused by the malefic titular phantom.

Alexander and George Maguire. The follow up to the successful hit Boogeyman (2006) is the story of an evil that every culture has tried to define by giving it a name and a face. For college sophomore Sarah Morris, that evil is the Boogeyman. When Sarah witnesses the alleged suicide of her roommate, it sets off a supernatural chain reaction. As she tries to convince the rest of her dorm that the Boogeyman does exist, the evil force grows stronger and her friends pay the price.
