There have been countless TV adaptations of popular books, and even if we count this year (which isn’t over), there have been over seven or eight. While there have been many brilliant books that were adapted through the years, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the TV shows are also good, and that’s why we decided to compile a list of the absolute best TV shows that were based on books. As a side note, we also decided not to include Game of Thrones and Dexter, mainly because of how they ended.

As reported by Parade, one of Karen Kingsbury’s most popular novels is Someone Like You, which is being adapted as a movie on Great American Family. The author is adapting the work and said of the book:

Of all the books I have written, Someone Like You is easily my readers’ favorite. The only way to make the movie in my heart was to make it myself.

On paper, it sounded like a surefire hit. Andrew Stanton, the two-time Oscar-winning director of Finding Nemo and Wall-e, was set to make his live-action debut just a year after fellow Pixar visionary Brad Bird had done so to astounding success. When "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon" first hit AMC, my mom watched it before I did. At the time, I asked her how the crossbow-wielding fan favorite character managed to get from the East coast of America to France while living in a zombie-filled apocalyptic wasteland. "Some bad guys got him," she answered simply. On paper, it's a laughable explanation for a sudden, drastic change of scenery over a decade into a franchise that's typically only moved its characters around in ways that make sense. After I caught up with the show, though, it became clear that she was right: Daryl's big move boils down to the introduction of new villains whose misdeeds just so happen to take place in an area adjacent to one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Despite appearing in every season of The Walking Dead and being one of the franchise's most important characters, fans have never seen Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) kiss anyone. However, the latest episode of Daryl Dixon season 2 featured the monumental moment: Daryl and Isabelle (Clémence Poésy) shared an intimate kiss in the final moments.

Daryl and Isabelle found each other in post-apocalyptic France. They were brought together by their mutual desire to protect Laurent, a young boy who many believe to be the messiah. Together, they've formed their own little surrogate family. After spending so much time together, in constant fear of death, Daryl and Isabelle shared an intimate kiss in the latest installment.

Seven, the Belgian Shepherd who played Dog on “The Walking Dead,” has died, AMC announced Thursday on social media.

“Rest in peace, Seven. #Twd’s best boy,” the network posted on its Instagram. The dog appeared on the last three seasons of “The Walking Dead” as the companion of Daryl Dixon, played by Norman Reedus.

The newest rumor from Deadpool 3 is that Liev Schreiber's Sabertooth will be appearing in the film. Allegedly, his role will be bigger than a cameo but smaller than a main villain role. And that's smart because Sabertooth may not have what it takes to fight Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds).

TV Fanatic got the chance to chat with Collins about her character's demise, whether Leah would have killed Daryl and more.

TV Fanatic: Leah had a great run. I was surprised how her arc ended. Did you know how it would play out before you signed up for the show?

Lynn: I knew her demise would be the end of the second section, so to speak, of the final season.

Talking to the writers, we would have loved to extend it, but it's just such a big task. It's such a huge ensemble, and they had to prioritize. So as much as we probably all would've liked for it to go on, it kind of had to conclude.

One last mid-season finale, and that will be all she wrote for The Walking Dead. One of the biggest hits in cable television history, The Walking Dead spawned a zombie renaissance, all without using the Z-word. Two spin-off shows have already hit the airwaves, with one more definitely on the way and two other ones announced. If you've been struggling to understand where The Walking Dead Season 11 is going, then The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 16 was likely the episode you've been waiting for.

We had several hints the end was nigh for all of the characters, and the locusts were a nice touch to add to the dread of it all.

Marco's death was both predictable and frustrating.

Yes, we know Leah is essentially a sharpshooter, Terminator-like person with what can only be described as superhuman abilities, but it's difficult to believe she didn't wipe out any of the other characters.
